Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

Ok, so you've probably read the reviews noting the hiss when cutting certain frequencies. Yes, that problem is there. However, if your only going to be using this for studio use during practice or running monitors on stage, it's perfect. I would not record with this item nor would I use it for FOH mixing. DBX makes some higher end EQ's for those applications. One thing I did use it for was to EQ my Triple Driver IEM's. It did a great job for that. Overall for the money it's a good product.

I use it to EQ blues harp and acoustic lap steels through guitar amps. Works fine in that application.

        dbx needs to recall these

        By gtr

Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

Got two of these and both had the same problem. Bring the sliders down from 250-20k and there is a loud hiss. The +-12db cut made no difference. Low cut made no difference on the first. Read other reviews with the same problem in the 231's. Not acceptable for dbx. The 231's need to be recalled.

Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

Have used this equalizer for 3 weeks now and it has made a tremendous difference. Can easily control the subtle sounds from low to high without the annoying feedback. For the price you can't go wrong.
