The Denon DN-S1200 is loaded with all the right features to supercharge your DJ performances. This CD media player and controller has an illuminated slot-in CD player that supports multiple formats. You can also add music from several external devices through its USB audio interface, which gives you access to up to 50,000 files and works with a variety of popular audio/video DJ software that use a USB MIDI interface.
The Denon Controller includes 2-channel stereo output pair, 44.1kHz sampling range with low latency ASIO/OSX Core Audio support thanks to Burr Brown 24-bit DAC processing and the controller's own internal power supply. The touch-sensitive jog disc is designed to reproduce the most subtle or swift hand-scratching movements for more accurate bending, scanning, file searching or dry/wet control of the 4 built-in effects: Flanger, Filter, Echo, and Echo/Loop. The DN-S1200 supports 3 USB keyboard types in 9 native languages helping make searching for songs on the vibrant tube display (2-line character text) that much easier.
Other features include 2 Hot Starts which can be turned into seamless loops, 4-way BPM counter, 3 platter effects (Brake, Dump, Reverse), 100mm pitch slider with multiple ranges, quick jump, relay play, power on play, data recall choices, key adjust, a next track function with crossfade, and more.

Denon DN-S1200 CD/USB Media Player & Controller.I Scratch, Mix fast, no kid stuff. Nowadays, i DJ at small functions. Points! Very Lightweight, small a +. back issues, cant do heavy anymore. Scratching? i pull it off but look elsewhere for hardcore dudes!- to digital 4 me. Mixing, good, but no jog wheel, cant push and slow down song on platter- must use Pitch control and pitch bend feature, surprisingly very good and fast though, i like it.i use serato, u lose almost all Denon player bells and whist functions when you do that. I would go with Jog wheel Denons next time, but glad about purchase.I rock these Denons anyway. All in all, good product, an eye opener. Cant beat price and compactness. Don't buy the 1000's.

I run two of these with my main DJ rig at all my gigs. I haven't had a single problem with them so far. Not sure what firmware problems the other reviewer was referencing. They have been very reliable for me. If you need a high quality, compact player these are perfect for you.

They look great, the writeup Denon gives them are great. However, even with a one firmware update already, these players are extremely buggy, unpredictable, and unreliable. It is such a shame because I have been a hardcore Denon user for years and years, but there are just so many problems with these players, it is not worth it at all. To see the issues, visit Denon DJ Forums, and see for yourself. However, there is supposed to be another firmware update that should be coming "soon". So maybe we'll have luck then. Otherwise, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere, because these are way to unreliable to use at a gig. I have had them fail many times, all in different ways. Wait to get these until the firmware update, "SYS 1200" is released. Stick with your current set up for now until SYS 1200 firmware update is released. Hopefully it fixes the long list of problems with the player.
