Comments about Digital Reference DRI100 Dynamic Instrument Mic:
Was given 3 of these for xmas. Used them to mic my fender combo and some baby toms for a new years day show. These things sound super clear on the front system. Sound engineer was very impressed. They pick up and reproduce exactly what u r micing up. Very sturdy and sleek. used a cabgrabber with the amp.
Comments about Digital Reference DRI100 Dynamic Instrument Mic:
I bought a few of these mics when it was on sale as a "cheap" mic to use in outdoor gigs for instruments. If it broke, it didn't bother me. I never thought that I would be so impressed with it. Historically I have used SM57's for micing instrument amps, and have always fought the "scooped" sound of them. As soon as I set up the DRI on the first amp, I was impressed. What came through the mains was simply louder - little coloration, nothing to EQ, it just worked. It is very nice to have a mic that you can put on stage, not worry if it gets damaged from abuse, and still get great sound.
