These headphones have a myriad of great features; they're lightweight, they have a very flat frequency response, they do not distort when driven, and they have very good isolation. I use these in radio, where I need something that is comfortable, is not going to bleed sound into mic, and has a true tone. These headphones deliver everything that they promise to, and are a great value. The headband on the newest revision is very sturdy; it's just unfortunate that the company earned a bit of a bad name, from the earlier ones. However, you can retrofit your older pair with the new one, from what I understand. I would have purchased the EX-29 model, but I needed them quickly, and the store was out of that model. Although I have no complaints about the EX-25 model, I will be purchasing the EX-29, as the drivers are larger, and there is more isolation. In any case, they're very good I highly recommend them, if you need an isolation set, with good tone.

This is a very hefty price to pay for something that will be shortlived.
The sound quality and comfort is great. Often times with isolation headphones the drivers/speakers are not normally anything of quality but these surprised me especially with the amount of low end these headphones had. The whole thing is, is that it doesn't matter how great the sound is when the product breaks after regular use. I just broke my third pair and I won't be buying anymore.
The parts that connect to the ear muffs are made of plastic and CONSTANTLY BREAK. After my third pair I decided it wasn't worth the money to purchase another pair and I hope this review will save you from the same mistake I made in purchasing these headphones.
If you look at all their models they all have the same piece that connects the headband to the ear muff part and I'm telling you it BREAKS.

I have heard a lot of negative things about these headphones and I couldn't disagree with them more. I know they aren't Dre's Beats or some celebrity named headphones which seem to get a lot of attention these days. But these are the real deal. They are essential for serious musicians and music enthusiasts alike. They have true sound tonal accuracy and do not bleed in the click track. Best part is, if they break, you can order replacement parts and they are easily repaired. No need to throw them out and start over. Five stars!

Recieved these as a gift over 1 year ago... I believe due to a power surge, one of the speakers went out. Called the great folks at Extreme Isolation and dealt with friendly, knowledgable and very responsive staff. I was sent a replacement speaker kit ( 1 day response)!, with easy to follow instructions and it took all of 10 minutes to install. Quality, selection AND service - it's a rare thing nowadays. The headphones give great all around sound at a very reasonable price. You can pay a lot less for cheapies and end up disappointed, and you can also pay a lot more if you have some extra cash - but these headphones will provide most drummers with good clarity and are actually comfortable to wear. I use them every week and am quite happy and recommend these - and I have played drums/percussion in every musical genre and volume for 40+ years.

Well, I first bought these for my studio and was pretty excited to get them. When i did, they seem to work fine. I had probably used them for about two to three months.Then as i was about to record a band, the singer was putting them on and one of the earphones broke off! Thinking that the singer was maybe being rough on them, i decided to buy the EX-29. Well, pretty much within a month those broke as well. This time i was using them for practice. The odd part was that it broke more or less in the same spot the EX-29s did.There is obviously a problem with the headbands. I had to order two more to replace them of their website. I also own the Vic Virth, Though their sound isn't as good, for monitoring during recording i recommend those

DO NOT buy these. The plastic bands above the ear cups WILL break. It's not a question of if, but when.It only lasted about 5 months, but I had a warranty with musiciansfriend. The replacement pair broke in even less time, 3 months. Maybe because it was winter and the cold did something weird to the plastic, I don't know. I bought a replacement band at their website, sure enough it broke again. 3 times is way to many.These are not of professional quality and will not last. Get the Vic Firth SIH1, they are and will.
