Edirol UA-1000

By Drako

from Louisiana

I had my Edirol UA-1000 up and running in 5 minutes. Plenty of inputs to choose from, including 4 with switchable phantom power, and high quality mic preamps. One of the inputs comes with switchable Hi-Z for guitar/bass. The quality I've gotten out of this device is top notch. The USB 2.0 interface is fast and reliable, and makes your studio incredibly portable. I love this product!

Have been very pleased with this unit

By jsm9153

from Gillette, WY

Being a newb to home recording I was unsure which product to start with to interface with Cakewalk Sonar and my computer. I eventually chose the Edirol UA-1000 and so far I've been very pleased with my choice. No major issues to report and everything seems to work as advertised. Sound quality is very good. There is very little latency when going live into Cakewalk, although I can't tell if it's from the Edirol or Cakewalk and it's just barely noticeable to me. With the direct monitor, there is no noticeable latency.I will probably end up buying a separate pre-amp and compressor for vocals and guitar direct in, but that seems to just come with the territory.
