It's a great microphone if you're a fan of the "telephone" effect on your vocals... all the time. It looks and feels like a nice mic, but the signal that comes out of it is awful...Don't get this mic if you're interested in getting a good representation of what you're miking.
We bought 4-of these things back about 4-5-years ago as we had some sound equipment stolen, with 4-Shure SM-58 Mikes, we were strapped` for cash so we went with these Cobalt-CO-5 EV mic's: Gotta` say I'm Very Glad we did, a friend who is an A & R man from Springfield/Branson at a studio there suggested we get these, they have held up very well, they sound great, and much cheaper than the old Shure's we lost in the theft they are Indeed, JUST AS GOOD! they even may have better feedback control than the Shure models, the Deep Violet color is different and they look nice on stage in direct or par can lights and they have an off/on switch that the SM-58's did not, so that's a plus in itself, I intend to order 4-more soon! This is one Great Deal on a great Microphone!
