Comments about Electro-Voice RE410 Handheld Condenser Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

Because it's a condenser MIC it needs +24V to +48V Phantom Power. But once you power it up, you'll love it. Crystal clear, sensitive, cardioid pickup pattern, almost no micro-phonics when handling, metal screen unscrews for easy cleaning. I've been using an EV N/D767a and this condenser is an improvement at least for my voice. As with any MIC, your experiences may vary. Highly recommended {8^D

Comments about Electro-Voice RE410 Handheld Condenser Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

As a small studio owner, I recently ran across a voice too big to capture with any of the usual suspects: large condensers, ribbon. dynamic et al. Ran across this, read specs and reviews, and thought "What the heck?", as we've even tried handhelds for this singer's literal operatic range. The verdict: the 410 is my newest, bestest friend, as this thing captured EVERYTHING without breakin' a sweat! EVERYTHING you could want in a vocal mic is here: presence, definition, NO discernable proximity effect (in a good way), no distortion, I could wax poetic... Simply put, if you need mic, for anything, consider this guy! It operates on standard 48 volt phantom power.

This is a very nice mic i been using this mic for a long timeand your voice will sound very nice...the only thing about it is if you are a guitar player like my and have your monitor with a lot of bass the mic will grab that sound and it would create a bad loud feedbackAs long as you have your monitor setup with less bass you would be allrightPS. sorry for my english

Comments about Electro-Voice RE410 Handheld Condenser Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

I really like this mic. I compared it to the PL84, PL44, and PL80a, and none of them sound as crystal clear as this one. As far as the price, I probably could have never afforded it, but I was lucky and got a factory B-stock!!! it was a steal! I really like the mic. If I ever see a deal on one, I'll probably buy another one. It has a very natural clean sound, and very high output. I'm a Shure SM58 fan, but this mic is really amazing.

Comments about Electro-Voice RE410 Handheld Condenser Cardioid Vocal Microphone:

I use it for practice and live performance. I've used SM-58 for over two decades, and that's still a great mic, but I've started to lose a bit of my lower-baritone "strength." Two band members started using the RE410 in the past couple years, and (being the sound guy too) I've been impressed with them. So I decided to give it a try, and I've found my lower range again. It is also nice having all identical mics for EQ and feedback avoidance.
