The Broadway Lites virtual instrument is derived from Fable Sounds' flagship product, Broadway Big Band, and offers 15 GB of legato premium wind instrument samples. The samples are from professional players using the world's finest microphones in neutral studio environments with artisan-level instruments. So the sounds themselves are spectacular, but it is the articulations and the ease with which they can be applied to the samples that really sets the Broadway Lites software apart.

On the trumpet patch, for instance, shakes, yoits, half-valving, falls, growls and other articulations can be applied to the melodic figures in real time by depressing an assigned key at the extreme left side of the keyboard. This is unprecedented in wind instrument emulation and it makes all the difference in recording authentic mouthpiece and reed instrument articulations.

This virtual instrument also includes many multi-patches, which behave as a horn section rather than as a soloing entity. These multi-samples make section arranging easy and fun, and provide a stunning realism.
