Watch out for the power cord. It stopped working after awhile. This is a standard cord that almost all computers use. This unit should be re-designed to have carry handles for the speakers since there is no way to handle them easily. The body is subject to scratches and gouges. I would like to see it in a darker color rather than gray. I replaced the air filter it uses with a foam air conditioner filter since the fiber one they provided decomposed. My experience with their customer service department was less than favorable. When I complained about the power cord in a letter and told them that a fellow entertainer had the same problem, they just brushed off my concerns. They never sent me a replacement cord nor did they offer any apologies about the failed cord. Other companies would have sent a letter, a replacement cord, and some consolation gift to make up for the embarrassment I experience while having my equipment fail in the middle of a performance!! Their user manual isn't too informative either. I'm still trying to figure out how to replace the fuse if it ever fails. Other than the poor documentation, I've had good luck with this unit. A fellow performer didn't though. His cooling fan stopped working and the unit overheated beyond repair. This happened after less than 3 years, but he did buy a new one. He had the same run around from customer service about the problem he had.

It is a shame to call this thing a Fender. The name Fender means quality and great sound. This is a far cry from this PA system. Just used it for four days and it had so much feed back. The volume wasn't loud enough and the control buttons really suck. Buy some other PA besides Fender. Keep in mind that I'm a Fender fan.

    Great equip.

    By Bob Pasero

    from Orland, California

I have used the Passport 250 for everything from singing at weddings to announcing parades and it has never failed me. It is light weight, compact, yet powerful enough for small venues. I love it.

    Awesome

    By Live Sound Guru

this is an awesome little system. Got the job done every time. But the sytem is awesome for speech and background music. There are also seals on the spakers, so it looks like you could spill something on it (when it's closed up) and nothing would happen.

    Street Performer's Perfection

    By etaleri

    from Tucson, Arizona

I bought this little beauty because I needed something light and compact, to use as a streetperformance PA system. It had to be small enoughto fit on my handtruck, powerful enough to fill acrowded subway platform, versatile enough to handle voice and guitar, both with separate stereo effects processors, and econonomical on power, since I used a marine deep cycle battery w a power inverter to run everything. This system worked perfectly. Eventually I outgrew the mixer section, and started using the stereo in channel to submix a Behringer eurodesk, and the sound was still impeccable. I also ended up picking up the P-250 extension set (sadly no longer in the market) so that I could play larger indoor venues, using the 150 speakers for monitors, and the 250s for the house. This is still working for me now! Can't beat this series for economy, power, portability, and just simply great sound. Thanks Fender!

    Passport's great

    By emctague

I teach at a CPA review course, sometimes to large groups in large hotel ballrooms. The passport is great - portable but with really good sound quality. I use the Passport with a Nady wireless lavalier mic. The combo is super.

    A great purchase

    By dancelady

    from Fort Worth, TX

I use this system to teach an aerobics class in a gymnasium. It works great for that confined space. Haven't used it any outdoors, but it puts out a good sound. I, like another reviewer, didn't get a manual and that makes the system difficult to navigate for the less techno-savvy. Overall a great starter system.

    WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!

This product is extremely worth your money. I've been using this pa system for several years, been all over with me. This is portable and great for a garageband. I started off using this pa for vocals only, however this also makes a great bass amp. Its got a great low end to it. I use it even for a stereo! It's my steroe, used for vocals, bass amp, monitors, and a lot more. DO NOT buy this however if you want several insturments such as guitars and vocals aat the same time going through here, you might blow the pa if you plug a guitar with heavy distortion in here. I have not had ONE problem with it though.

    EXCELLENT NEAR FIELD MONITOR SPEAKERS

    By Howard-Jq2XD

    from Holliston, MA

I haven't used the entire system much--except for some emergency PA. But I play electronic percussion and the speaker cabinets for this system make excellent near field monitors. Just one gives you incredible range and response so that you can hear what you're playing without blowing your eardrums out because you've put your main amp or sound rig speakers behind you.

Fender Passport P-150 Portable PA System

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

It's a pretty good system if you're going to use it for what it's designed for; it's geared towards public speakers, small bands and especially accoustic groups. For the price it fufills it's promises. I haven't had any problems with the power cord that were mentioned earlier; my only main problem with it is the speaker cables stick out precariously from the front of the speakers. Oh and where is there a "VIP" control for the first input? It took me about a week to figure out why whenever I sang my keyboard wouldn't play. (I didn't get a manual with the system either)
