The Q-1311 offers professional sound enhancement at an exceptional price.
The Q-1311 is designed for use by live sound engineers, recording studios, and musicians. Features constant Q circuitry with 4% center frequency accuracy. Equipped with 1/4" TRS and XLR balanced inputs/outputs, and RCA unbalanced inputs/outputs for the flexibility to interface with a variety of systems.
Switchable to a plus or minus range for more control and better dynamics, it features ±6dB and ±12dB range LED indicators. Each channel bypass switch has a red LED indicator to compare the equalized sound to the original sound, and each channel is outfitted with a clip LED for overload detection. A shielded internal power supply provides low-noise operation. Selectable AC input voltage between 120V AC 50/60Hz and 240V AC 50/60 Hz allows use in almost any location. I just added the Furman Q-1311 EQ to my rack for my monitors. I was working on a budget but the most important thing was that I only had 3 rack spaces to work with for a power amp and EQ.My system is mono and I didn't need a stereo EQ anyway. This was the only mono/1 rack space EQ I could find. When I took it out of the box I could not believe how well built it was for the price I paid. I hooked it in line with the new Nady XA-300 power amp I purchased as well and WOW!!! I'm not so sure my monitor system doesn't sound better than my mains now. If you need to clean up the sound on a mono system...I highly recommend this EQ. It has a full host of features and is very well built.
I have a pair of these and I'm VERY happy with them. The price/value on these is excellent - the're not top shelf, but worth every penny. The only down sides are very short throw, somewhat inaccurate sliders (you crouch a lot - these are best if you set them and leave them alone). But overall, these perform for me very well, and if you're on a budget these are a great option.
I got this unit to replace a Behringer EQ which died about 50 days or so old. I was immediately very pleased with the solid midrange punch this unit has. The faders are very co-operative as well. I like the sturdy construction, and you have a choice of two channels of precision, making it very versitile. It has proven to be worth much more than I was charged, I can heartily recommend it for a home studio application.
