I purchased The Gem Sound Dual Channel mics and was able to use them for two shows. They both quit now, and wont transmitt any sound. I now own a Voco Pro 5800 UHF, 4 channel wireless mic set. It was worth every penny! I no longer use corded mics at my shows.
After doing some research on the gmw-61,I was having second thought of buying it because of the gemsound name. I went ahead and bought it anyway. I had my gig the very same night, and when I was doing my announcments on it,I was blown away! The sound out of this unit was unbelievable. Nice highs, great lows. Trust me! I am a DJ of over 25 yrs,and know my equipment, buy this unit. You cant go wrong!
I bought the first set as spares while my Samson mike was being fixed. sounded so good and at that price bought another set. After having the singers ask for those over my 4 expensive mikes bought another set and thinking of detting 2 more. I they drop one or one quits what am i out,,,the price of three rechargable batteries. You can't go wrong.
I purchased one set and after a few months of use decided I had to get another one before the price went up.These things are perfect for karaoke shows. After 2 years of use I still have not had to open the second set except to test on arrival.I bought them for my self to use as a host. Never expected to use. for singers. They love them!
ordered two sets of GMW 60's. One set failed immediately. The other set failed a few months later and was sent to GEM Sound for repair or replacement. This took over a month. The replacement from GEM Sound would not work when it arrived. They asked me to pay a second time to have the defective replacement returned to them.
I purchased this a few months ago and I used it for live music. I turned both mics up all the way and the guitar down alot but you could barely hear the singers. Other than that awesome, great range and when not all the guitars were playing the quality of sound was great. I would say get it!
This is a great setup for a small pa operation. If you buy something like this for a working gig music setup then you are trying to screw in a phillips head screw with a pipe wrench. If you are using this for bingo or for a small dj rig then you are right on.
