I have looked at systems twice this price, and I couldn't find enough difference in sound or construction quality to justify spending the extra money. For a performer on a tight budget, this is a great PA system. In particular, solo acoustic artists can plug in a mic and a guitar and be ready to go. The sound is good and it has more than enough power to fill even a good sized bar/coffee house. A larger group could run the band through a small mixer, and use a pair as the left and right speakers. This is a very good buy.

I recently purchased this product and the next day after testing it out, sent it right back. The sound quality was awful! There was no clarity - just distortion and the power level was so low, definitely not the 250 watts promised. You also would need an external EQ to get any sort of flat sound. The bass and treble adjustments are worthless. If you're a dj from the ghetto, I guess this would work for you - lots of boom and no clarity. But for live performance or sound reenforcement, stay away from this nightmare!

Great Deal For Bands on a Budget

By deadlyrolling

from OHIO

Everything Sounds and works great I use this for band practice and am going to buy another and two speaker stands for some small gigs I wish it came with reverb but it was mainly made for dj's and stuff like that so I understand I use a mackie Dfx-12 runnin into this for my vocal effects and for live gigs.

The only problem I had was the power cord didn't fit well into the cabinet. I sent the company an email about problem they replaced cord in just a few days.

Great deal for the money.

Great value. Any other systems like this one are twice the price. The only con I have is that you can't really get that low bass punch. But other than that it works great for vocals.

Great Speakers For The Money!

By djBoston1974

from Boston Ma.

These are great little speakers for the price. I use them with a Small Behringer Mixer with the Digital effects and its a win win combination. Great for small and medium venues. I waz amazed that the Bass response was very good also for a 12. I am now going to buy a pair of the 15 powered Gem Sounds to really fatten up the sound.

I think that it is some what of a noisey amp. It should have more power and i think it should be bigger.

These are AVERAGE speakers

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I use these speakers for DJ'ing. The mic imputs might as well not be there because they do not come out clear and they have very poor volume. I can't use a mic with these speakers. This can be very irritating for a dj. Other than that the speakers work very well.
