Do your self a favor and buy this rig . Its everything you need without all the cumbersome dj gizmos crap you dont realy need and rock the party just as good if not better . The trick to scratching on this unit is having a light touch and it adds a distinct sound and awsome scratch effect that adds essence to a song not overpowering scratch noise that some djs think sounds good . You must get the case and a mini kaos pad and your set . Case Keeps it dust free . Their are no cons to this unit period

If NOT for Musicians Friend I would have put this thing in the garbage!! M.F. is attempting to help me solve my problems with this unit. It hums, it loses the left channel on the right CD player. M.F. replaced it once and now I am working with the manufacturer for a cure. Two for two...both of them with exactly the same problem. I have other Gemini equipment (RS415 speakers, GVX 15 sub, 3600 Pro DJ station) and they all work without flaw. In fact I love them. Again M.F. is giving me avenues to follow with Gemini to correct the problem. They said to call them back if I don't get any satisfaction. Three Hips and Horah for M.F. for taking care of its customers...rare no adays. The shame is I do not use my equipment that much. Private gigs only and my other equipment works great. Bought this unit as part of a package deal M.F. offered last year. Made the purchase on Jul 21, 2010 and still working out the problems on this unit. Everything else in the package works great. Right down to Gemini headset!

I own it and Here are my Pros and Cons:PROS:- mix Fader is feather weight - Seamless loop w/ reloop is average but works fine- 3 band EQ on each CD channel: reliable - Pitch Control with 3 settings works really goodCONS:-The USB slot only reads flash drives stick and not external hard drives-Scratch mode is only emulated and has a bit of pause when you release the wheel (wowing sound)- BPM read out not reliable
