The speaker was working. But the grill was mistreated, bent and dented. MF should inspect these products before shipping them out to it's customers.

I recently bought four of these speakers. Ok folks, these are not JBL's or EV, but they are a clear speaker that is a great value for the price. My one concern, is the grill on the front. It is very light weight and easily bends in. I took these off and used a after market 15 inch grill with 1/8 NPT couplings for stand offs. The drivers seem good as well as the cabinet construction. Do your self a favor, and check all connections in the cabinet, as well as screws and bolts. Another thing to mention, is these speakers have a green LED on the front that is distracting as ever. You can cut these loose, or just cover them with some electrical tape. Maybe, however, this is a feature you like. Be advised, these speakers will not set as a monitor with out using a plastic bracket that cradles the speaker at the proper angle. I'm sure, in time, these brackets will get lost. All in all, a great speaker for the price.

When I unpackaged them I took off the grills and inspected the speakers. The surround was not glued down all the way. After that was fixed they sound great. Very clear very loud. Just don't expect huge low end from these. You'll need a sub for that.
