Not so bad

I am an aspiring DJ and i have felt the feel of Technics. So i am basing my opinion on those...I bought 2 of these gemini's a month and a half ago. To be honest i was not satisfied... So i changed out the felt slipmats and bought new ones along with some thud rumble butter rugs. i also changed the cartridges out for some more steadier styluses and it was like i had a brand new set of turntables... the torq is decent with butterrugs and slipmats. Still not the technic fast but very negotiable. Keep in mind these are beginner turntables. I would recommend them for a friend to practice. Never a show...

This is my first new turntable & I love it. It's unique is eyecatching for shows. It also fits in any carrying case. It's surprisingly very light. Withing weaks I've learned to beatmatch, break mix, & even cut beats & sratch with this cuz it's so easy to work with.

The metal platter on the Gemini TT-2000 was very poorly milled and was warped. Very noisy through the preamp. Note that it DOES NOT have a USB connection. Exchanged for belt drive Gemini TT-1100, but could actually HEAR the motor hum on that one just standing next to it. Again, the platter was poorly milled and fit loosely on the bearing. Spend a little more and get a lot better quality with another brand!!
