OVERVIEW

Affordable wireless system with up to 240-foot dynamic operating range.

The UHF-6200 Wireless Handheld Mic System provides you with unlimited independence to use your energy and movements all over the stage without any fear of hanging cables. Do explore the boundaries of passion with UHF-6200. If you are a lead singer, DJ, karaoke enthusiast or anyone searching for a high-quality voice reproduction system with an unbeatable clarity and reliability, you are looking at the perfect product. Besides, the UHF-6200 comes at a surprisingly low price.

Technology Available In The UHF-6200 System
The most desirable feature of the wireless dual channel receiver system out of an array of user-friendly features is the wide bandwidth of the operational frequencies. While the lower range of the bandwidth starts at 682 MHz, the upper bandwidth stretches up to 694.75 MHz, offering you multiple frequencies to choose from. The robust UHF receiver has a 240-feet dynamic operating range, making this ideal for bars, clubs, auditoriums and places of worship. The high-end technology and the ergonomic design have the capability to withstand hard use and heavy touring throughout its extended lifetime. The ultra-fast microcomputer controlled PLL oscillation and advanced compression circuits avoid unwanted noise and the one-click solution for automatic transmitter via the SYNC button work in collaboration to offer you the crystal clear high reception you crave.

Other Prominent Features Of The UHF-6200
Among the other various features and technologies integrated in the UHF-6200 Wireless Handheld Mic System, the high-quality LCD display is the most discussed; it provides room for flawless operation by displaying the group, channel no, RF and AF levels clearly. Connection with external devices has been made easier with the individual balanced XLR outputs, the mixed 1/4" output jack and the MIC/LINE output selector switch. Full range volume control rotary control is the perfect gadget any vocalist or DJ would love to have in their handheld microphone transmitter

My experience was very similar to other people's. The IR link makes syncing the microphone frequencies almost trivial. The sound is clean and clear. The mic sounds similar to my favorite corded Nady mic, with a slightly different frequency response, and a touch of compression.

I have only tested the range out to 30 feet, through walls, and it stays clean and clear. Much better than other FM mics I have used.

The LCDs on the mics and base station are nice. Good presentation of battery level, audio level and frequencies. The LED on the mic is green for a hot mic and red for a muted mic. One small glitch, there is a small thump when you tap the mute button to mute. Unmute is fine, and holding the mute button down to turn off a hot mic is also fine. Thus would only be noticeable in a studio if you listen for it.

The receiver has two selectable output levels: too low, and way too low. I use a Behringer MX 802 mixing board. It has enough gain for me, but not enough left over gain if I have a mumbler on the mic. Similar on the combined 1/4" output and the individual XLR outputs. I opened up the receiver box to see if there was anyway to increase the output level, but I had no success.

I did have a real issue with the XLR outputs. When connected to the XLR input on my MX there is a serious loud hum. Reversing the wall wart in the socket was not help. Using a Pyle hum bucker was no help. In over 15 years of use, nothing I have plugged into my MX has hummed before. I was able to get the XLR output to work by using an XLR to 1/4" adapter and using the 1/4" input on my MX.

The XLR hummed with the mixed output also connected to my MX, and when disconnected.

Since I like the separate mic inputs on my mixer, I'll stick with the XLR to 1/4" solution.

Not perfect, but for the price, I give it four stars. Better than other cheap wireless mics I have tried before.

Bought these mics based on comments, and the mics aren't that bad if you make all kinds of adjusments on your mixing board. First the gain volume on the mic reciever is way too low, the gain control on mixer has to be all the way up so you can get a descent volume but then you get a lot of humming noise which is really anoying, then there is a lot of feed back dont know why, i have used other wireless mics and i havnt had these issues, but like I said before they are not good but they are not bad either with ajustments they are usable, but if you want better quality then go with other mics.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I can finally dual wield my microphones in an organized fashion that's easy to set up. My dual wield skill has increased from 32 to 57 in just two weeks. Would buy again.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I bought this system as an inexpensive option for events and for my kids to use so they don't destroy my good mics. Channels work well with no interference (in heavily populated areas). So far they are holding up well to the abuse of small children. Like any system, it takes some tweaking to get good sound. The mics run fairly hot, which is similar to other wireless stick mics I've used. I've not had issues with weak sound. I was please with ability to pick up spoken word without the mic positioned well. I have only used the system with the separate XLR cables - using the quarter might give different results.

I will buy this system again and intend to add a second set ASAP. It gets the job done at a price that I can and will replace the system when it gets destroyed. Would this be my voice for high level vocals, probably not. But the vocals aren't bad through it.

I'd like the battery life to be a bit better, but overall does what I need it to do. 5 stars based on performance at this price point.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I use an expensive Sennheiser wireless mic as my main mic. I have an event that requires 3 mics. I wanted to get an economical mic and honestly i was a bit worried about the sound. When these arrived I hooked them up beside my Sennheiser. I could only tell a little difference in the sound. The Gemini had a bit more bass, but you could barely tell. One HUGE difference, the range of these Gemini's were 5 times farther than my Sennheiser. Very pleased and happy. I have not used them at an event yet will within the month, nor have I used in a windy condition, but I do not expect any issues after testing them. Pleasantly surprised and happy with my purchase

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I recently purchase this package I learned one thing they ether are bad or good 90percent of the problem is people don't set the frequency right and they get discouraged.
California ranges 640-960 frequency and these microphones cover all of California in those range settings
it will cover the Central Valley & Bay Area in California with no problem. I did fix
one mic on a weld issue but the clarity and distance what wow !! My back turned and even in front of my speakers no feed back.. I'm surprised I've used them the past 3 months on Interactive events
, rappers, karaoke weddings, quinces, sweet 16, corporate, these are great microphones for the price and I will tell you as soon as they are back in stock I'm getting another set. I just recommended them to a collogue sad they couldn't keep them on the shelf. Great product for the price light weight ..similar to sure pg58 style..

I run a shared office (coworking) facility, and these were purchased for a training center that hosts workshops, classes, mixers, and pitch events. These microphones are amazingly crisp, lightweight, and easy to get set up. BEWARE: holy geez these thing gobble batteries. If you forget to shut them off after use, say goodbye to 2 AA batteries. Grab some Energizer rechargeables and there you have it - you just solved a problem.

THIS IS A CORRECTED REVIEW, PLEASE DELETE MY PRIOR REVIEW.

My experience was very similar to other people's. The IR link makes syncing the microphone frequencies almost trivial. The sound is clean and clear. The mic sounds similar to my favorite corded Nady mic, with a slightly different frequency response, and a touch of compression.

One small glitch, there is a small thump when you tap the mute button to mute. Un-mute is fine, and holding the mute button down to turn off a hot mic is also fine. Thus would only be noticeable in a studio if you listen for it.

Just received these today, and I tested them out. They are really good mics, sound is clear for the most part, and I walked about two blocks down the street and still got signal. Per the previous reviews, I knew that I would have to adjust my gain in order to hear the mics, which is true. These mics are very low (I previously have used Shure wireless mics which are way more sensitive) They were extremely easy to program, lightweight, and easy to hold. I will test them out further tonight at my poetry night and see what happens.....

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I have used Gemini mics in the past and they worked ok. I also use Vocopro, Shure, Sennheiser. The price was good for two uhf mics so I decided to try them out. The mic case is plastic and probably will not survive a drop but i have seen broken Shure mics too. Don't drop them. These worked right out of the box. They were already paired to the base and ready to go. Plugged them in at an outdoor event and they worked great. I was able to walk around the event without drop outs. Very little wind noise, breath noise or handling noise compared to other mics that I use. I did add a windscreen to one mic just for added wind protection but I didn't have trouble with either one. Had a vocalist sing the national anthem from about 150-200 feet. No drop outs at all. Good tone. She normally uses a Shure mic and didn't notice a difference. (I did increase the treble range a bit though) I have used them twice more since that without problems. So far, so good. I ordered a second set now.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

I ordered these microphones going against what I had read about low volume and noise from cranking up volume on mixer. They were right, I thought sometimes people don't know how to make things work right. I thought it over and worked real hard to find a way to make the mics work. I hate sending things back. These mics have a very nice front end 235 channels at end of the 600 MHz UHF band. They auto sync the channel with receiver by pointing end at receiver or pressing sync button on rec. If you have ever used VHF mics indoors, You know about the electrical interference problems, UHF is far superior. I went up and down the channels and they were all clean. I solved the volume issue with a phantom powered inline amp in the form of a M/F cable Joiner. Wow what a difference. I use a Lloyds Limiter for Karaoke, it brings up sensitivity as well as taming loud singers. The result I don't have do much with the level controls. You're going to find all of these lesser priced wireless mics are going to have the same problem with low volume out. The boosters also work with other microphones I have that had the same volume issue plus being VHF.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

The unit did not include the required XLR patch cables. Did include a 1/4" cable that didn't work at all. One microphone does not work with the same frequency as the base receiver. The biggest problem is I have to turn the individual volume control all the way up and the main volume control on my power amp up to 3/4 plus power. My other microphone worked at much less power and had plenty of volume.

I wouldn't buy any more of this brand of product.

Comments about Gemini UHF-6200M Dual Handheld Wireless System:

Have had both the "single" version of these as well as this "double" version for some time-just purchased 2 more.. I've had 8 of these running at the same time on many cabaret type shows that i handle in some churches as well as other fairly large venues, and have experienced no interference or drop outs.
I don't think i would want to run outside or around the block, but some of the performers have have mingled with the audience without troubles.
The secret, i found, is to choose a different group for each receiver unit, and use frequencies on each unit a bit apart from each other on each unit. (if you use frequencies right next to each other on same receiver, the 2 mics will react with each other if held too close together). There are plenty of choices for groups and frequencies, so no problem there.I have four of these double mic receiver units stacked together with no problem. Programming is a snap.
They also sound very nice. Best bang for the buck I've found in a long time. Not had one go down yet,but even if it does, you're not out a small fortune. As usual if you "RTFM" to get familiar with them, you should have no problem.
