First off most of you should know not to expect 2000 watts, but a more modest 90 watts RMS x2 @ 8 ohms and a punchy 250 RMS Bridged. This is NOT the amp to rock out the house with or to drive your sub woofers. Best uses are small setups with efficient speakers, or in a bi-tri amp configuration for highs. I first tested this amp using Peavey SP5's (Single 15" woofer & compression driver). The amp is very clean even without a source signal (No hiss). Driving it harder just bumping the clip lights on the amp it was surprisingly very clean, until the lights stay solid in the clip there is hardly any detectable distortion. The bridged setting is also clean though and easily doubles the output handling. One of the biggest issues I can see with this amp is the housing is the same through out the different models and the cooling fans are over kill for this amp and are very noisy. Running the amp hard in bridged mode there was extremely very little heat output at the fans, but I can see where on the 400 watt x2 RMS models how those fans would be needed. Lastly one feature that would have been nice to see would be an input level select switch for using the 1/4" vs XLR. All in all, I really do love this amp!

I bought a Gemini Xga-2000 power amp, that was a return/open box. I expected scratches and cosmetic flaws but the amps operation left something to be desired. Only Channel 1 works, thus I could only get 90 watts rms mono out of the amp max. This problem was not listed in the items description. In bridge mode, the amp is rated at 250 watts RMS. I'm going to keep the amp, as shipping it back would be at my own expense, and I can use it for a spare or practice amp or something - but I'll think twice before ordering again.

Comments about Gemini XGA-2000 Power Amplifier:

This amp came with a rattle when taking out of packaging which turned out to be an extra screw inside the amp. Easy repair before starting her up just removed about a dozen screws to lift the cover. Nice little amp.

Comments about Gemini XGA-2000 Power Amplifier:

This is my second Gemini amp. I agree with others that the fans are on the loud side, might not be the best for studio work, but to be honest once I start playing I can't hear them at all. I've been using them for practice and especially on Stupid Deal of the Day, you can't beat the price. Will definitely buy more! I'm sure the higher priced amps are better, but these work fine for me. The amp itself is good and solid, Heavy steal casing and can get fairly loud.

Good clean sound. I purchased this product as a stupid deal of the day. I realize everyone is complaining about the fan noise and I new this before I purchased this amp but because of the price, I purchased this amp and am not disappointed. Great amp for the money.

Comments about Gemini XGA-2000 Power Amplifier:

I bought this amp to drive a set of old Peavy 10" Black Widows that r rated at about 150 watts stereo, so I needed an amp with lower wattage that wouldn't blow the speakers. The amp is perfect for that. It has great features including safety, air flow and a variety of wire hook-ups. I need to test it for a few days to determine consistant performance

Unable to utilize onstage for accoustic or quieter group, too much noise from to operting fans. Great for full bands with drums or dj that can muffle sound behind props.

Comments about Gemini XGA-2000 Power Amplifier:

I bought this amp for a backup to my DJ system. There must be two different models from Gemini. The model I received only has 2 1/4" mono jack inputs and 2 XLR inputs, no RCA inputs. I had to buy some adapter cables to hook up my laptop. The fan is really loud too, but the music drowns it out. Good bang for the buck though.

I was a bit apprehensive about the "fan noise" mentioned in several reviews. Maybe I'm old and deaf, but they seem fine to me. I purchased two on a "Stupid Deal" and will buy two more next time they're on there. Even at full price, they seem like a good buy.
