If you like the Arp Oddessy you will love the Oddity. Everything here is developed with love and care from the strange interface filled with near-psychedelic colors that are actually functional to the semi modular sounds you get, along with gobs of real sounding analog that most hardware VA's would get jealous over. The Oddity, like its real world cousin, is duophonic and monophonic. It's a lead and bass synth with serious attitude. While the mini moog had a smoothness to it the arp sound was always a bit brighter and in the Oddessy with far more synthesis capabilities. You will want to read the manual as chances are good you've not seen an interface quite like the Oddity. Remember, this is a near exact reproduction in all ways and that includes learning how to get the most out of sample and hold features and the deep, deep LFO and modulation capabilities. When Arp made these they felt a diagram was essential and it is here on the Oddity as well. The manual is well written and easy to work with. Best used for bass and leads you can do some cool pads, and when in duophonic mode that means you can do interval type playing too. Part of synth history, the Oddity is worth owning just for the pure quality besides having a virtual piece of history on you computer recording rig.
If you've ever dreamed of having that incredible ARP sound, man, this is it! It's great!
