Powered bass with a long throw.
The perfect complement to any speaker system that needs powerful bass. Designed for controlled low-end sound output and projection, the HPX118F-BBE provides richness and warmth to acoustic and vocal performances, or deep drop bass to live band and DJ rigs. Includes heavy-duty removable casters.
The folded horn design affords a sharp attack and a very long throw. If you want hat big bottom to permeate the entire room, this is the bass cab for you. Its patching is really convenient as well. Plug the full-range output of youre mixing console into this cab and the built-in crossover will grab 100Hz and below and send it into its internal 1000W power amp, which in turn drives the 18" speaker. Also very cool, there is a built-in BBE Sonic Maximizer that makes the bass very warm, rich and present.
All frequencies above 100Hz are passed out of the crossover and feed either your powered main speakers or a power amp that in turn powers you mains. It is an ideal bass speaker for a wide variety of sound reinforcement applications.
