The Hercules DJ Console Rmx controller ensures precision and speed in all your moves, thanks to 2 ultra-precise jog wheels for moving within tracks and for scratching, 12 rotary switches, 46 push-buttons, 6 faders - including pitch faders with a center detent - plus an innovative and convenient general volume fader. The roomy layout of the controls allows DJs to perfect fumble-free mixes. DJs will find their marks quickly, allowing them to focus their full attention and ability to the music and the dance floor.
As an expert in the design of audio interfaces, Hercules determined that the integration of an audio interface featuring 4 inputs and 4 outputs on the Hercules DJ Console Rmx was both obvious and essential. The interface grants access to unique features such as 4 audio outputs offering maximum sound over 4 mono 1/4" inch jack outputs which output +4dBu for PA equipment, audio output levels at -10dBv over 4 RCA outputs for connecting consumer devices (hi-fi systems, recording devices etc.), and simple integration to your other equipment by means of 2 stereo analog inputs enabling you to mix, via the included DJ software, external sources with digital music. The mixing console also features a phono/line-level selector on each input, ideal for connecting turntables, CD or MP3 players, and rhythm boxes. Microphone (with talk-over feature) and headset (for preview feature) connectors are accessible on the Rmx's upper face and front face, enabling DJs to use the console with inimitable convenience, whether in a flight case, on a DJ stand, or on a tabletop.
As mentioned above, the DJ Console Rmx Controller comes with DJ software, VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition that works with both PCs and Macs. VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition instantly connects to the console and includes features and settings specific to the Hercules DJ Console Rmx, combining the power of the VirtualDJ mixing engine with the ergonomics of the console. The Hercules DJ Console Rmx is also a MIDI controller and therefore compatible with other MIDI-controlled software applications.

I just received my Hercules DJ Console Rmx Controller today and am pretty impressed with it so far. I like the fact that after loading the drivers and selecting the controller on Virtual DJ is pretty well plug and play. All the buttons are Midi mapped to Virtual DJ.I have noticed a few glitches along the way though , but nothing that you can't really work when DJ'ing.First off, I noticed a noticeable popping noise out of my powered speakers when I turned on the Mic button. The Mic On/Off button is used to lower the music so you can talk over it. The solution I came up with to overcome this problem is to simply leave the Mic in the On position and just raise the levels on the volume to overcome this. From there you just use the on/off switch on your Microphone which will eliminate the nasty popping noise.I also notice that when you start up Virtual DJ that volume on both sliders is adjusted to the Max which literally blasts the music when you start playing. If you adjust the sliders before playing you music the program will adjust them accordingly.So aside from these two minor issues I'm pretty impressed, the Hercules RMX delivers what it promises. I am also really impressed with the construction of this unit, it is solid and durable.So if like using Virtual DJ as much as I do this is the Controller for you.

Buttons stick, faders are cheap.. Software was not included with unit (it was supose to be) and it took a week for Virtual DJ to get me software only to find out that the unit's buttons stuck down and the wheels were super messed up. Like I said I'd buy some other brand. FAIL!!!!
The buttons stick and make it impossible to work with.
Very poor. The faders seem really cheap and again the buttons stick down.
I'd buy a Numark or Taktor set up if you really want something that won't break easily.

The only thing that I am not fond of on this, is the microsecond delay that occurs when you scratch with the 'jog dials' I guess they weren't designed to scratch with. Overall I love it and was glad I picked this as my first controller to start DJ'ing on. It gets some used to figuring out the use the ASIO drivers....
Kill buttons on the Low Mid High make it entertaining. Keys maps to VirtualDJ which is great!

just recived mine worked great first 6 hours shut down came back 2 hours later fired it back up and it malfuncioned it seemed the crossfader only let me run one deck and when i went to load the other deck it would shut the other deck off called musicans friend up explaind the problem thay were great anew one is on it's way the next day my hat is off to all the people thair

I've been using one of these for about a year, and really have no complaints. I wish it had a 2nd mic port for karaoke, but for the price, I would definitely reccomend this thing. It's been very reliable so far, and sound quality is pretty good.It almost seems like a toy compared to the denon MC-6000(that costs twice as much) or new pioneer controllers. I will upgrade someday, but for now it works great, and non-DJ's are still impressed.

This thing works GREAT with VirtualDJ. It's completely customizable and the integrated sound card is very handy. One less thing to carry. Also, the bag/case it comes provides really good protection during transport.

Just got it in the mail the other day, and I have to say this is perfect for mobile DJs or a good way to break into DJing period.All the controls come mapped to VDJ and are clearly labeled on the controller or on the software screen and can be changed. I recommend upgrading to VDJ pro but not necessary.Beatmatching is pretty easy even without the sync button but for people just getting started a good feature to use. Blue LEDs are good for dark rooms and the knobs, faders, buttons and jog wheel are pretty solid. Also comes with a some what sturdy carrying case.Overall a good buy for the price

I sold my CDJ800mk2s awhile back, and was using just my laptop with virtual DJ to do my mobile DJing gigs, and it is such a pain to not be able to actually have hands on control, so i saw the good reviews for the Hercules RMX and i decided to go for it, considering it is ALOT cheaper then the CDJ800mk2s and also not as bulky and as much as a pain to carry around. i am VERY VERY satisfied, i was extremely shocked how great mixing with this thing is! and i love how small it is! you can pretty much mix like a pro without having the Turntables. Highly advise for anyone who wants to get into DJ'ing, and get the general feel for it, and also those mobile DJ's that are sick and tired of carrying around their turntables. i use mine for everything, i bring it to the clubs, (i don't care if i get judged, because it is no different then using serato) mobile gigs, i use it as a MIDI control with FL. i love my Hercules DJ Console RMX!

I have used this product for about a year now. I have been recently using it in conjunction with Virtual DJ Version 6. It has been one of the best units out there for portability and easy to use. It did have some problems with "glitches" in the beginning, but received updates from Guillemot and has resolved the glitches between the Hercules unit and Virtual DJ so far. Overall, I am very satisfied with this unit. Well, worth it's weight in gold.
