LIke the versatility and nice sound especially on vocals. Don't like the quick battery drain. I'm always afraid to record something if the battery fails.

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo Audio/MIDI Interface for iOS and Mac:

Having got my Home Studio start with the original iRig, this is everything I could ask for in an upgrade. Basically you're getting a beefed up yet lighter version of the Presonus Audio Box. This thing is compact, slick looking, and PORTS PORTS PORTS. Perfect for a one man studio on the move. Buy yourself an AC Adapter when going mobile and have no fears, it will not let you down. The only other complaints are that the bottom grips could be a little better, and the top appears to prone to scratches. With the stupid deal of the day, I got this for 70 less, and I couldn't be happier. When IK Multimedia adds support for 96kHz recording, as the original does, this thing will be a force to be reckoned with.

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo Audio/MIDI Interface for iOS and Mac:

Really great sound. Quite, low noise. Great for any mobile device. Great preamps. Quality input and outputs. Compact and easy to use. Has a 9v DC adapter jack, but no AC adapter is included.

If you are using this mobile with out a DC adapter, you are going to want to buy some rechargeable batteries. This thing drains them quickly. Expect about 3 hours of battery life. Plugging in the DC adapter does not charge your iPhone or iPad. To be able to keep your device charged you'll need to buy the power bridge power supply / adapter which is not cheap.

For PC this device is not natively recognized as a ASIO sound card. It does show up as a Direct Sound device, but using the driver is terrible, noisy, and staticy. No sound driver is provided. IK Multimedia Support will tell you to find and install the ASIO4ALL driver on the web, which does work and resolves the issue, but is not documented in the manual. Having this info from the start would have been helpful as I almost returned mine.

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo Audio/MIDI Interface for iOS and Mac:

i decided i needed an upgrade from the original iRig i purchased years ago, as i was starting to use some higher gain devices, and the cross talk that occurs with that was ecoming an issue. got the pro duo home and realized i didn't have the cable i needed, but that's just dumb me. Of course i wouldn't need to order a cable if they didn't insist on speical cabling. so i hooked it to my iPhone which just happened to have the right end. hooked two mikes (which unfortunate for me need phantom power). It was then I realized that phantom power is not provided through the iPhone power. It appears that other devices may support this, potentially even android devices, however, I don't know how long they will stay charged. On the two fresh AAs I got what seemed like about 10 minutes. So if they really want this to be as portable as they say, they need to re-think the batteries. The other small issues with it are the level controls; the level indicators are fairly coarse - you get three levels blue green red. in practice it works okay. one other small issue is the gain knobs - don't know which way is up and which way is down - real esay fix. other wise I am very happy with it so far. the box seems well put together, all the connection points are solid, and it packs a little heft. I mostly have fooled around with garage band so far, but I did bring up amplitube for a bit in trying to test out my connections. in both apps it's a little hard to know that you are actually connected to the interface. So my first read on this product is that it's prettry solid
