These are all of the original T-RackS modules that achieved cult status. They maintain their great original sonic character, and have only been improved upon to give you absolutely no compromise in the sound quality of the T-RackS 3 signal path.

New SCC technology
With over 10 years of experience in analog-modeled software, IK has been a pioneer in this technology and accumulated plenty of experience in the plug-in field. This has resulted in several improvements like their unique DSM (Dynamic Saturation Modeling) and now SCC (Sonic Character Cloning). SCC has been developed to clone the true behavior of an analog vintage processor down to its finest level of sonic detail for a faithful reproduction of all its tonal characteristics. This new emulation technology produces results that are indistinguishable from the originals, even for the professionally trained ear.
Many pieces of vintage gear tend to have original and interesting circuit topology, due to the creative solutions that engineers were sometimes forced to put into place in order to overcome the limitations of components' technology. However, many of these classic components can't be found anymore because their technology became obsolete and uneconomical. The ones that you can find have aged (some of the best sounding devices are 40-50 years old), playing a fundamental role in giving these devices a unique musicality that is what the purist would define as unmatched by even the most advanced processors today. Finally, many of the unique sonic characteristics of these magnificent vintage units sometimes depended on the erratic and unpredictable behavior of their electronics that would be considered unorthodox and unusable by today's science and standards.
That's where SCC comes in to save the day. Its technology has the ability, through a new analysis method developed by IK, to integrate all of the above and turn it into a mathematical algorithm that, for the first time, is able to take into consideration all of these complex variables and get an exact replication of the original. This is software emulation evolved to the point where it sounds so close to the real thing that you won't be able to tell the difference.

I will never buy another IK Multimedia product. Not because they aren't quality products, but because it is such a hassle to install! I have a MacBook Pro. I bought this software to use with Logic. The installation manager they use wouldn't work. It said I needed to download a newer version. The newer version won't work either! This seemed strangely familiar, then I remembered I bought Classic Studio Reverb last year and had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! I sent message after message to the support team and they kept having me download another file from a different location. Then, there was a problem with the password they gave me. It took like 2 weeks to get it up and running. It is a great product, though. As far as T-RackS 3, I don't know yet because I'm still having the same issue for over a week and still have not got the install finished. I think their products are great, just their security measures are stupid. They need to know they are loosing customers because of something this stupid. They should make it easier to use their stuff.

I have had this for four years. When I got the software, it worked great. In the last 1.5 years, IK multimedia has tried to increase their security. I have no problem with that. Now you need to download an authorization manager to verify your copy. Again, that is fine. My issue is that the authorization manager is buggy and doesn't authorize my copy. I go through the steps, IK sends me an email that says it was authorized. I go to use it and get a HORRIBLE hiss. When I first heard it, I scoured my track to figure out where it was coming from. Had no idea T-racks was making it. I've contacted support multiple times. The ask me to redownload the authorization manager. I do that try again. A few times it has worked, but only for a matter of that session. Support is always very nice, but a few months ago I gave up on the software. It is too much frustration.

I am a user of the T-Racks Deluxe package but I must say that this standard package contains all you need. As I write this it is being sold as a "Stupid Deal of the Day" at $49.00. This is an insane price. I paid somewhere around $400.00 for the deluxe package and the deluxe package only offers a few more goodies that quite frankly you can live without if you have this standard package.I bought my T-Racks Deluxe after attending a mastering seminar with a well known producer who highly recommended it. I take mixes from my Tascam 2488 24 track DAW and import the mix into T-Racks. Wow!! T-Racks can make good recordings sound great. The compressors are better than any stand alone or rack compressors I have ever used. The parametric EQ is very sensitive and the all the other units work great. The software is easy to install and if you have earlier experience and knowledge of compressors and parametic EQ's you will be up and running in minutes. If you have little or no experince with the mastering process, just use one of the available presets and tweek it to you needs. The presets are excellent. If you have a home studio and decent monitors, this T-Racks software will blow you away. If your recordings are flat and dynamically unbalanced T-Racks can make good mixes sparkle and sound pro (if the performance is not good you will hear problems much clearer). It requires some work on your part but as you get into using it you'll wonder how you lived without it.
