Very small in size but a BIG sound that comes from these speakers. The usb connection is convenient and there is nothing to install for it to start playing audio instantly. Clear crisp highs and deep rich bass. This sit perfectly on my desk next to my PC monitor and don't take up that much space. Surprisingly from speakers with this low price.
These speakers come with two RCA and 1 3.5 mm standard stereo input. Anything connected to the inputs is basically mixed as stereo and you can directly record that to the computer by using software. It also acts as a soundcard and connects to the computer through USB. My keyboard and Ipod sounded pretty loud when using the inputs. Unfortunately, if you want to record microphone or guitar, you will need some kind of amplification beforehand either through mixer, mic preamp, or guitar amp otherwise the sound is very very faint, even after turning the volume all the way up. I was thinking about turning this into a cheap Karaoke setup but looks like I will have to buy a mixer for my mics. The sound quality is OK for the price.
I listen to classical music. These speakers reproduce the full spectrum of orchestral sounds quite capably. Great bang for the buck!
I ordered these Ion speakers because i had some money laying around and wanted some extra speakers. But don't be fooled by price. These are alot better then most monitors I've herd. GREAT DEAL. Also they not fully polarized..it still effects screen slightly.
Bought these a couple weeks ago and I must say, im impressed. I use them to mix my beats and play on xbox live. For the price they are well worth it! Only thing is, dont turn them up too loud cause you will get distrotion, but at reasonable level they bang and the sound is crispy.
I bought these more than a month ago. I bought these for use with a home studio. I must call these awesome, they are small but pack a great sound, great for mixing, you can hear what you need to with these. I would recommend these to anyone starting up- a home studio. Great bang for your buck.
I just got these yesterday. I bought these with an intention to learn sound mixing and to replace the bad sounding computer speakers that I bought at Target. They sound pretty loud and clear for Audio playback for a small room. Initially I had hooked them up through USB but I felt little bit of crackling after careful listening. This might be because of the Windows Drivers or my computer. When I hooked these up to my Audigy 4 soundcard, they sounded great and the crackling disappeared. I also have a Logitech X-230 computer speakers which has received great reviews for sound quality, but I prefer these over the Logitech. I have not tried them yet for creating music and monitoring, so I can't really comment in those areas. I will update my review after I try these for mixing. Overall good speakers.
I bought these speakers to save a little bit of money. I can safely say that these are one of the best investments ive ever made. They are amazing computer speakers as well as mixing board speakers.A++++ Value and definitely consider these if you're tight on funds.
For some little things, they pack a pretty big punch. They're in no means a replacement for normal speakers. I use them for private cozy house parties. The only issue I see is the volume knob when you're using a mixer; but if you know how to use a sound board you wouldn't blow it. It has a good full range for the sound and the RCA in makes things easier. I run two of these with a RCA splitter; one set for each side, and I can easily fill a house or decent beach party. The size is small so it's good for the mobile party type of thing.
I spent quite some time researching speakers for quality and budget price, and I am delighted with my Ion Desk Rocker speakers. First of all, they connect using the USB port. So convenient! They are small and don't take up a lot of space on my computer desk. And, the sound is incredible! For the money, these were an awesome buy!
