I got this because the idea of it souned kool. Transfer your tapes to cd, who wouldnt want that. Before I got any good recording equipment I had a analog 8 track(Tascom). So I got this to transfer all my old recordings. I also re-recorded all my cassets with an extra EQ to help the sound out a little. You know to boost the lows and take out some of the highs that the casset already gives. So all said and done, I had very nice results, and a very nice experiance. little inside scoop, you have to have the internet, along with itunes. If they could create it so you didnt need that, it would be a whole lot better for the casset transfers-ers!!

I purchased this primarily to use for converting sermon audio tapes from church to digital files so we could post sermons on our website. This is excellent. I also use it for converting old audio tapes to .mp3 and .wav files so I can preserve the music.

If you cant afford a cd recorder and have a computer, this is the right piece of equipment for you! It is so simple to use; however, there is one small drawback, because tapes already sound the way they do, there is a small bit of background noise. This is easy to overlook when you think about the price. I burn everything from this on cds using my computer and havn't had any problems yet! The Ion Audio Tape 2 PC USB Casette Archiver is AWESOME!

I was given this amazing machine as a Christmas gift and the newest addition to my modest home recording studio. I am now able to transfer music which I recorded with bands I was playing with as well as some music ideas that were recorded years before I upgraded to all digital. Music which was recorded almost twenty years ago goes throgh the magical transfer from Tape to MP-3 to Cd in a snap! Set up is real easy; just download the included software; hook the tape deck up to the Computer via a USB cable and your ready to go! I recomend this tape deck to anyone wanting to archive their tape collection of musical gems which are no longer in print and will last for years to come. Thanks for making a great piece of equipment available!
