Great sounds, bad support.

Pretty cool virtual drum instrument but had a question which I asked the company and never got any response. Its like they really don't care once you purchase their products. I think in this day and age that support is really important because so many company's have lost that personal touch and I try to support the ones who still care about their customers.

90 for non Support

This application might be viable if 1. It was a cohesive application. 2. It had some sort of manual or support. 3. It has lots of sounds but poorly organized. Yet another application that has great copy to pitch it to you but is essentially useless when you get. My advice: look elsewhere, there has to be some company that can make a simple to use good sounding program with a manual not translated from Chinese. This is not.

Great software for the price!

After reviewing many drum machines, the iDrum is by far the best bang for the buck. It's very userfriendly and it exported/imported into my Qbase with ease...although I don't recommend exporting on individual tracks due to latency, exported as one track works really well. Just make sure your levels are set before exporting. All in all, iDrum is an asset to any home recording studio.

Easier than a Dr. Rhythm

I purchased this on a whim. For the price I figured it would at least be fun if not useful. Well it's very useful and easier than dealing with an actual drum machine (it's also cheaper). I've tried using drum machines and while the pads can be natural it's hard to get it right. This program is easy to understand and it's easy to make beats. There is also a "song" mode which lets you work up multiple patterns in one project and that is a wonderful tool. The actual drum machines seem to have so many steps involved to make a song. This one is just clicks and you're done. iZotopes' website has a lot of resources and learning tools so even if the software doesn't come with much in the way of a manual, it's all on the website too. The sounds that come with it are great but you can also use your own. Since it's only working with samples I would imagine this could also be used for a sequencer...but that's another review. I have not yet had the chance to use it as a plugin but I'm sure it's great. The standalone use is very user friendly.

A friend of mine told me about idrum not too long after purchasing FL10 to make drum kits and throw them in Cubase. the first time I tried this I knew that I was done with FL studio...If you compare this step sequencer to the step sequencer in FL studio this one will win by a landslide.
I started using Cubase specifically to record and stuck with Reason 5 for all my beat creations because of the Kong Drum designer and how it is superior to Cubase's Groove Drum VST. bt I have owned this for about a month and find myself jumping into Cubase more and more for beat creations.. Anybody who uses Cubase knows that it is excellent for audio recording, mixing and some mastering but not really formatted for the hip hop producer during the creation stage.. Simple as put.. This program adds the missing link in Cubase for hip hop producers.. That being said!!!.. It will take any DAW to the next level.
Somebody left a negative comment because it didn't have a manual..
Really dude!!!!!...... check the videos on izotope's website or look it up on youtube if you are a first day, never made a beat don't know what DAW means rookie... but anybody who has touched music software can figure it out in a matter of minutes... Put on a 10 cup pot of coffee and I bet you that you will know how to use it by the time it is done...

for the hip hop artists who mainly use Fruity for Drum kits and patterns to throw in another DAW.. This is FL Studio 2.0... being able to create a pattern, copy it and paste it on another empty pattern and tweek it for your chorus, hook, verse or whatever with the ease that you can in idrum will surprise you.... Not to mention being able to take a 16 step pattern and turn it into a 32 or 64 step pattern for six snares or high hats without adjusting the tempo or flow..............

i literally cannot see myself using anything else for drums.... this is all you will EVER need
Not too many features but for creating drum patterns this thing is SICK!!!!!!...
Great!!!... Easy interface and great possibilities for drum kits and patterns
