JamHub

Jam anywhere, anytime without disturbing the peace.

The 7-section, 21-channel JamHub TourBus system mixes ampified instruments and vocals and puts out the sound through headphones for quiet practice sessions. With inputs for 7 players, one SoleMix remote, and a USB audio out for digital recording, the JamHub TourBus makes silent rehearsal possible anytime and anywhere.

JamHub TourBus offers 21 audio channels for up to 7 musicians and their instruments, mics, and headphones. JamHub TourBus also has two SoleMix remotes plus a built-in recorder. Each section offers a stereo TRS and XLR mic input, FX return level, and headphone volume control. The TourBus records WAV files, which don't compress audio like MP3s, ensuring quality recordings. JamHubs were created to give musicians the freedom to jam all they want, wherever they want. When you're jamming, JamHub TourBus keeps it virtually silent to the outside world—neighbors can't hear it; parents can't hear it; cops can't hear it. But for everyone in the band, the experience rocks. Each musician controls an individual mix. Just pick a color section and plug in your instruments, mics, and headphones. You'll hear yourself with amazing new clarity—no more volume wars. Hear your playing improve faster.

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

I got this for use with our Church Praise Team. We were having volume issues because of monitor wars on stage. When you can't hear yourself, tendency is to turn up and eventually it overpowered the main sound.
We have used this for three weeks so far and it is getting better with each use. House sound is dramatically improved.
I used a combination of Direct box and sub outputs to split the signal for the stage and house. We still use two monitors for a stage mix for singers while musicians get their own mix through the Jam Hub.
With Six inputs we ran a sub-group of all vocals from the House mix to one input. V-drums, Bass, Acoustic G., Electric G., and Keyboards round out the set and everyone can hear and set the volume levels to their preference. We each hear our mistakes more and are growing tighter as a group already.
Trying to sing with ear buds gives a lot of head vibration and takes some getting adjusted to, but works well.
We have not used the recording feature yet, but as we get accustomed to the system will give it a try and hopefully continue to improve.
The Jam Hub has all Stereo inputs, so regular instrument cables need to go from Mono to Stereo ¼ in. jacks. Two are included with this package.
By price comparison to other stage monitoring packages, this meets our needs at a much lower price even if it was not it's intended design.
I highly recommend this to worship teams and small venue groups where stage volume interferes with House volume and acoustics.

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

Just used one of these as a practice/rehearsal tool for an upcoming performance, and it was the first time using it for all three band members.
ALL of us were BLOWN away at how EASY it was to use, how GOOD it sounded (thank you Sennheiser HD-201's) and how EASY it was to adjust the mix so you could hear everyone PERFECTLY....
We are "cleaning" our set for an upcoming Guitar Center performance night, and they've got one of these set up for us to use, and it is AMAZING....
Next we use the recording feature to further clean & design parts/riffs, but for live playing, this thing was SUPER FUN, SUPER CLEAN, SUPER COOL....

          Two thumbs WAY, WAY up!!!!

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

I don't endorse many items but this is one of those pieces that lives up to its billing. I first used one of these last year while on tour in our bus. I was blown away at how easy it was to setup and the quality of the sound mix. Being a drummer on a tour bus with acoustic drums does not work! plug in the Rolands and ba bam instant band rehearsal before a show. We now use this device exclusively whether traveling or at home. It also has helped us in the studio practicing to click tracks and tightened the band up as a whole.
Your house guests and neighbors will love you for using this device. Any serious band should invest in one of these.

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

Very few products come along that have such a big effect on your life but this is one of them. For several years my son and his band have been making everyone else in my house and most of my neighbors miserable. Last night, after a good amount of convincing, the band played their first rehearsal with JamHub. It took a few minutes to get the levels all right, but it wasn't long before smiles took over everyone's face - me included. Essentially it performs as advertised and it sounds clean, loud, and everyone gets to tweak their own mix. What more could you ask for? Well - as in any product, I have a wish list. But as it stands, JamHub delivers and I couldn't be happier.

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

I did a lot of research before getting this product. there is a lot on the web if you look. If you see reviews that say "you can do this with a mixer for less" they are wrong. I know you can't, I've tried. This is about as much bang-for-the-buck of any product I've ever owned and it works great, sounds great and is made great. It has this scratch resistant paint that feels soft, it's really solid feeling and the pots are smooth and "greasy" feeling. I tried it at summer namm and was sold. The listening experience for musicians is amazing. It's like having a rehearsal studio that is at recording studio quality. My only ding is that I wish it did multi-track recording but I know that probably would have doubled the price and we are finding stereo is actually great for capturing the jams. No real need for the multi track.I wish I'd had this unit years ago. A lot of hassles would have been avoided and a lot more fun would have been had by me, my band and others who sit in and play around with us. I love mine and I'm very happy to have it.

A bit expensive for a lackluster product.

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

The idea behind the JamHub is great: practice to yoou heart's content while avoiding noise complaints from the neighbors. The problem: lackluster sound and cheap construction. I had to buy it on Musician's Friend because no one carried it to try out... That was the problem. The knobs look terribly cheap and the channels clip fairly easily. I know I shouldn't expect it to sound "live" but the experience was markedly lower than using my Boss BR-1600 digital studio.Again, the idea is great: individual mixes and plenty of ports, but the execution: not so great for me. This has no bearing on MF, just on my needs and what I got with the product. It may work just fine for you, but I definitely recommend trying it out first.

By far my favorite way to practice with my band

Comments about JamHub TourBus 7-Section System with Recording:

I purchased the new Jamhub Tourbus silent rehearsal studio and I'm really loving it. It's the perfect solution for those of you who have electronic kits for practicing with your band. We've been practicing through headphones for years using a mixing board and headphone amplifier, but the Jamhub is a much better solution for "silent" band practice. The big drawback with our previous set-up was that we all had to share the same mix. Now we each have completely separate mixes. If I want more drums, less vocals, more guitar, etc, I just simply make those quick adjustments by turning a few knobs on my "Section" of the Jamhub. The other big plus with this device is that the model we went with (Tourbus model) has an onboard recorder that records every second of every practice to a SD card. The onboard recorder has completely separate mixing knobs so that we can dial in a recording mix completely separate from any of our individual mixes. If you have e-drums, and practice with a band, this is by far the best way to rehearse that I've ever tried. My full band practiced with it last night for the first time, and I've never had a better mix in my headphones. Not only that, keeping a reasonable volume in my headphones will help me keep my hearing compared to practicing with acoustic drums. And last but not least, we're able to practice at my house without disturbing the neighbors. We're completely "silent" except for the unamplifited vocals. The unit also has an onboard metronome (click track), which is great for recording demos. Anyway, I give this device a solid thumbs up. IMO, there is no better way to practice with your band.
