Get it? no? get them! You will not be disappointed with this JBL product. The JRX112M is very well built and can totally handle the job of both ?stage monitor? as well as ?mains? (in tight stage situations). I own two JRX112m?s and I use them for everything. Trust me? if you?re getting a hum (like a fellow reviewer)? check your PA and set-up? my experience is that it is NEVER the speaker?s fault. Buzzes are always within the signal? (before the speaker)? ALWAYS check your set-up? and gear? it is usually something as simple as a cable is not plugged in? My point? When purchasing ?high-end? speakers? the buzz is usually elsewhere. I get tired of an inexperienced sound-man coming up with the wrong conclusion. IMHONow back to this speaker? get it? it?s priced right? it?s a bit heavy to carry? it?s not class D technology? but I promise you? the warmth and power that you?ll hear from stage is well worth it. I?ve owned mine for 6 months now and gig at least once a week? and have never worried about the JRX112M not pulling it?s weight on stage.I also own a couple JRX115?s and they are awesome as well. Trust me? JBL products will not let you down.

Good overall design. Handle and jacks placed right. Has 1/4" & speakon jacks. Strong grill. Really needs feet on bottom. Sound quality is not up to JBL standards. Would prefer coating or tolex instead of carpet. I may need to upgrade drivers. It's as if they designed it 90% and then went to lunch. For the price l'll keep it. The older TR series was better.

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

I married these JRX112's with a pair of JRX115's, pushed by (1ea)CROWN XLS 1000's on each and use JBL EON 15's for additional sound when needed... so far, Not Needed.

Oh Yeah!

By Charles Edmondson

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

Bought two of these just recently for use with my acoustic guitar solo act. I mostly use one for front of house and the other for my monitor. These babies are so clean-perfect for what I need in medium size clubs. Vocals are so crisp and guitar sounds nice. Played outside last weeknd at the lake with a percussionist who miked through my rig and used both of them for the mains. I was pleasantly surprizied at how well they handled the volume for that venue. Sure, if you are running kick drums, bass, keys etc.. at that volume you would want 15" frames but for what I do, these are a great bargain. The two option tripod mounts are nice too.

Great sound

By manwithhorn

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

I've had a pair for over 5 years - using them primarily as stage monitors in a horn band playing 2-4 times a month. I also use them as mains when I do DJ gigs. I've set them up and turned off the huge mains we normally use with the band, and everyone says that the sound coming from these two speakers is better and clearer than the tower of Peavey and Yamaha 15's we use!I just did another DJ gig and they were the only speakers I brought and the audience said they LOVED the sound of my rig! I'd have to agree.

Need some up grades

By Dave from Bulldog Direct

from Cincinnati,Ohio

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

Seems to be made well, I wish it had a little more base, as I'm a drummer and need to hear the kick, which is a little disappointing, The weird place for the input is not too much of a problem unless I stand it up on the feet then the feed is on the top. There are no feet on the side and with being a drummer the angle is more for a stand up musician rather than someone sitting, but a block of wood lets me prop it up to the position I need. hopefully JBL will fix these short comings. Still a good product and I will keep it

JBL low end monitors-average

By unknown rocker-GeSfn

from nashville, tn.

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

I was sceptical at purchasing the JBL JRX112M as I always used the Yamaha Club Series for the past 10 years and have never had a problem. But you cant beat the price of the JBL's, so I bought them. Testing them side by side with the Yamaha SM12V, they are muddy and your sound is "colored". They are also not as loud as the Yamaha's and dont have the vocal presence. If you are an ametuer and want a cheap price, the JBL's will work fine. If you want clearity, better components, duribility, volume, and a non colored sound-the Yamaha Club Series are the way to go.

Buzzing

Comments about JBL JRX112M 12" 2-Way Stage Monitor:

Everyone keeps writing how they are the "BEST". I bought one a few months ago and as soon as I brought it home and pluged it it for the first time, I had a loud buzz. So I took it back and they pluged it it and they agreed it did buzz so they replaced it. and I brought the new one home and it didnt buzz. Ive only used it a few times and this one is starting to buzz also?? Ive had my mains for about 7 years and they are as quiet as you can get, but Im not really sure about these monitors?? Serious!
