I have been a mobile DJ for over 15 years. Bought a set of JBL TR-125's when I first started and they are still thumping 15 years later!! Speaker cabinets have been dinged up and scratched over the years and was looking to update with a fresh set. Overall these are great speakers, just wish they would have built in a little better bass .... it's there, just not enough to make a room rattle. My old TR125's really put it out and wish they would have made the JRX115's the same way. Will need to look into getting a set of sub-woofers to complete the sound.
Great highs and excellent clarity - what you would expect out of JBL. Lacking a little on the punch from the bass, compared to my old TR-125 (a little disappointed).
It's JBL ... what do you expect??
Great price for what you are getting

Don?t get me wrong, the JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet IS probably the greatest sounding set of speakers I?ve ever owned but, unless you want to sink a lot of money on the right Power amp, the right TRS or Speakon cables, and the right crossover if you?re running Subs. Then I would maybe think twice about this specific model. JBL?s always been known for its sound but lacks a little on its quality. I?ve had to replace the HF driver in my set about 3 times in one year. Make sure you run them @ 8ohms nothing more nothing less. If you need to use them for a huge venue, skip out and borrow somebody else?s speakers or rent something DO NOT USE THESE FOR BIG VENUES! Even the most talented sound guy will blow your HF drivers. I know, I?ve had 2 different sound techs and 1 rookie make the same mistake. These are meant to be more for Mid-range be careful if you use them as specially as your high or low cabs. You can order HF drivers on the web fairly cheap but the hassle of putting them in gets old really quick. I mean for the sound there are very few other than Bose that come close to the cleanliness. But if you?re looking for something that can handle the juice then I?d do some more homework before buying these.

Comments about JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet:

I started off using the house speakers at the venue we frequently play. When I had a couple people come up and tell me the sound was muddy and the vocals hard to hear, decided to start bringing these to the gig. I immediately noticed from the stage that the vocals were much clearer. It was later confirmed by audience members that I was right. These handle plenty of power for small and even medium size venues. We recently played an outdoor gig with these and my Behringer B1520 Pro's in parallel, paired with my Behringer VP1800S sub. The sound was amazing. I will be puchasing another set of these to increase our power handling capabilities because for the price you can't beat them.

          great, but a little pricy

Comments about JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet:

These are very good, great highs, mids, and lows. it is little expensive but a great buy.
this has mostly perfect feature for the price, the only reason it did not get a ten is this; the inputs and out put do not offer both speakon and 1/4 options. one awsome thing is the dual pole sizes, that is awsome!
This has good quality, inputs are sturdy pole mounts are as well. plus the grate is to. the reason it did not get a ten is because it is carpet... not my favorite, and there are no corner gaurds, but most cabinets dont any way.
One more nine, the reason behind this is it is a little much to ask three hundred, but you do get the jbl name which is why this dose not have an 8

Comments about JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet:

In the 6 months I have owned these speakers they have been in the shop 3 times, both for blown bottom and top ends. I run them with a QSC 1804 and use them mainly for vocals in a jazz/motown group. (Not real loud) During the time these have been in the shop, (most of the time) I have used an old pair of Peavy International 115s and have had no problem at all with them.

I have owned these for over a year now and put them through some vigorous road use in medium clubs andhave had no problems with them at all. I use them with my band and also my dj set up. when playing smaller shows I use them stand alone, and on larger gigs i pair them up with some m-pro 18" subs and could not be happier, all in all they sound better than any peavey , sonic , or yamaha speakers that i have owned. thats my two cents , take it for what it is. , rock on

          Disappointed

Comments about JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet:

I have owned these speakers for almost 1year. In that time frame I have replaced the horn drivers twice. After the second time I finally removed some old 22a drivers from a peavey cabinet I have not used in several years. On several occassions I have gone out in the crowd to listen and saw something glowing in the cabinet. It turned out to be the crossover wiring . I finally took my old peavey's out of storage. I always heard JBL is the best so much for the best. I'll never trade in my old reliables for JBL again. They sound great but can't hold up to regular road use.

Love these speakers! Small in size, capable of filling a medium venue with clear precise sound that is very full. Driving a pair with a crown xls 602 bridged, running an acoustic guitar, a stand up bass and vocals with a keyboard and getting superb sound quality. Many compliments on the clarity of sound in a venue with about 300 people. Speakers are raised on stands about 4 feet and angled downward. Happy crowds, happy musicians.

          Best Buy Under $400

Comments about JBL JRX115 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet:

The JRX is for those of us that need a fairly inexpensive cabinet, but want the best possible sound. Thats exactly why I'm very satisfied with it. I use a very mid level amp, (RMX 2450) and I have just the right amount of head room to use these cabinets in small to large venues. I use subwoofers, so there is a lot of strain being removed as opposed to guys running full range. If you're a DJ and want to run full range out of a single 15 cabinet, this is the best it'll get in this pricerange. Its fairly small, the weight is managable, the double pole socket for a downward tilt is great for mobile DJs that need to raise the stand high to spread sound. The dancefloor audience really gets a good sound, while the room is still filled. These highs ARE SUPER CRISP. Watch that EQ because it can get too crisp if the gains are way up in the heat of the party. Bands should buy this, because the vocalist gets awesome clarity and dispertion. DJs should buy this because it gives a very dynamic range of sound. Full range people should use a CROWN that does 500-600 watts at 8ohms and you'll get the most punch and clearest punch from your bass.
