Light weight, heavy-duty, high-output portable sound.

The JBL MRX512M is a portable 12" - 2-way bass reflex PA speaker cabinet designed for sound reinforcement and monitoring applications. The MRX512M speaker uses a JBL 262H 12" Differential Drive woofer and a 2408H 1.5" annular polymer diaphragm, neodymium compression driver. A 70° x 70° horn provides smooth, even coverage whether used in vertical (mains) or horizontal (monitor) orientation. NL4 connectors are provided on both ends of the audio speaker to keep cable runs tidy on stage when used in the monitor application and for easy access when used on tripods. A passive network provides accurate reproduction throughout the crossover region. Use the JBL speaker on a tripod or over a subwoofer, JBL's dual-angle polemount is included. This feature allows it to be mounted in a vertical position or with a 10° down tilt for optimum audience coverage. The MRX512M speaker enclosure is constructed of quality plywood and coated in JBL's rugged DuraFlex finish. The attractive CNC-machined, 16-gauge steel grille wraps around the sides of the enclosure. The grilles are internally lined with an acoustically transparent screen to provide additional driver protection and give a very professional appearance.

    Comments about JBL MRX512M 12" 2-Way Multi-Purpose Loudspeaker:

Read my comments above...I own several of the MRX series by JBL and I am very happy with the product overall performance.
I love these 12" 400 Watt Continuous Speakers from JBL; particularly the 33 lbs total weight. Great sounding as a floor wedge or hoisted on top of your speaker stand or pole. The MRX class is just right; it's between the expensive SRX series and the lower cost JRX series. Easy to carry handle and thru Speakon Connectors on each end...Did I mention it's only 33 lbs; even grandma can carry one !
    Great JBL quality...

    Powerful and Light!

    By Joshua-MjE1c

    Comments about JBL MRX512M 12" 2-Way Multi-Purpose Loudspeaker:

These are very powerful, and very light speakers.I HIGHLY recommend them for anybody with medium venue size monitor needs. They are VERY light, you will be very very impressed with the weight. They look like they are 50+ LBS. But they only way around 15 (at least they feel like that). They go very loud, and run on almost any power. They are very sharp and clear, and have well defined low bass. A very transparent speaker for vocals. It's like you are singing at home and can hear every note very clearly. They seem to really cut through the mix of loud stage volumes.(It's great having powerful monitoring because you can cut down on stage noise).Anyways, I HIGHLY suggest these extremely tough and durable speakers! They make great monitors. And probably even mains for smaller events.

    Nice speaker 512

    Comments about JBL MRX512M 12" 2-Way Multi-Purpose Loudspeaker:

I've been using Jbl and EV speakers since the late 60's and they have always been reliable. I also have a pair of EV SX300's and I like the JBL's a bit more for their high end. I use these for rooms up to about 400 people and they stay clean with good detail even at higher power levels, though I find a little bit of eq cut around 250-500 helps on our Shure KSM9 mics. The weight is just fine with me, I've carried around heavy beasts for 40 years and neo is truly a blessing. If you last as long as me (and your back) in this biz you will know what I mean. Anyone want a garage full of boat anchors? :)
