About 4 years ago I put this beside the ev dual manifold and it blew it away. Deeper bass more thump.
Hello, I'm a Mobile DJ. And I have got two of these AWSOME speaker's / Bass Bin's. Other then their size and wight, They are really great. They move the air, And Shake EVERYTHING around. I turned them up, Just maybe 20% of the volume, To see how far away you could hear them, And at only 20% I could hear them thumping two block's away. And in the house, I don't think I could put them past 20%, Without having the house fall down, Let alone how clear and loud the bass wave's are. If price is nothing to you, I would get these awsome speaker's, As I know you will be more then happy with them. I'm pushing a 4000 Watt Crown amp (CE - 4000) to them. They match up great!
If you can get the SR series in the dual 18" config, go for it. The only thing better is the EAW dual 18" IMO but for the $$, the JBL wins in my book. Plan on giving it some juice - I ran these very nicely on a QSC MX-2000a amp. The EAW's go good with Crown Macro Tech 5000's but they are darn pricey! The JBL SR's - best value!
