The K&M Tablet PC stand holder is a universal tablet holder for microphone stands. The holder can be attached quickly and easily to any microphone stand with the 5/8 and rdquo; internal thread. A unique tensioning mechanism with a clamping width between 4.724 and 8.661" means the holder is suitable for holding securely all standard tablet PC models.
The holder is especially suitable for tablets with a protective sleeve or case. A tension spring means the tablet can be clipped in or removed from the holder in no time at all. The universal clamping jaw with integrated moss rubber protectors ensures a secure hold and eliminates undesired vibration sound problems. The adjustable clamp bolt with felt protectors and a rubber cover provide additional stability when setting up the tablet holder in the portrait format - so that the tablet is prevented from falling from the holder, even when in use in the toughest of stage environments. The clamping jaw is adjustable, so the holder cannot impede the functioning of the operating controls. The tablet PC can of course be instantly switched between landscape and portrait format and independent rotation is prevented.

Comments about K&M Universal Tablet Holder-Mic Stand Mnt.:
I studdied iPad fixtures carefully before buying this and I'm glad I did. This mounts the iPad quite securely, allows for quickly switching the tablet from portrait to landscape and adjusts easily to the angle you need.
There is a small amount of trial and error getting the support arm located to hold the specific tablet (in my case an iPad Air) and if the fixture gets squeezed in transport, the support arm my pop out of place, but once together it is very handy and adjustments are quick (as you need them for a live setting).
I'd like to see some kind of cover (maybe an add-on) that secures over it for transportation. Most of the time this gets tossed on the top of speakers and guitars and whatnot when loading for a gig and its a little too fragile to be handled that way. K&M hardware is really good stuff (highly recommend their music stands as well) and I'm sure they could figure this out quite handily.
