OVERVIEW

Great sounding and very affordable.

The Kustom KPC10MP is a 50-watt powered monitor speaker with an angled wedge design, a 10' Kustom-built loudspeaker and a piezo HF driver. It is tuned to deliver rich, balanced tonality while accurately reproducing a wide variety of audio content.

The Kustom KPC10MP powered monitor speaker provides balanced XLR and TRS 1/4" (balanced/unbalanced) input jacks. These may be used to connect a wide variety of line level devices such as non-powered mixers, preamps, keyboards, drum machines, and other audio devices including music players such as iPods and CD players. A volume control adjusts the overall level of the Kustom powered speaker.

A TRS 1/4" line out jack may be used to daisy chain 2 or more KPC speakers for a wider dispersion of sound. For example, if a non-powered audio mixer has been connected to the Kustom KPC speaker's input, the line out of this first speaker may be connected to a second speaker's input. This is a daisy chain and it often requires shorter cable hookup lengths versus connecting the second speaker directly to the audio mixer.

In addition to being used as a powered floor monitor, a built-in polemount socket enables you to elevate the Kustom KPC10MP monitor for use as a powered PA speaker.

Please don't, as some have here, plug a microphone directly into this monitor (KPC10MP or KPM10, which are pretty much the same), and then proceed to write a negative review when it doesn't work. One person said they've been playing music for forty years or something like that. I suppose reading instructions (or even just knowing what you are buying) would help. This is a value champ monitor, extremely useful and sturdy with a balanced sound, AND built in power. It does not feature microphone preamps. Thanks, this device doesn't deserve to be misrepresented by people who just plugged in wrong. It's a good monitor, very pleased with mine! This is not a powerful DJ type speaker, but it is remarkably good with acoustic guitar, vocals and a few mixer-generated effects.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC10MP 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

Just purchased my third KPC10MP, and I also own one KPC12MP. We use them as floor monitors - vocals, guitar, keys - for medium-volume shows, and they work fine. They may be under-powered for certain applications, but for the price you can't beat them if you don't require really high volume.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC10MP 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I got this to use as a small monitor for one man shows using guitar, synth and vocals. Works fine and sound is very good for the price but just not quite great. Have used it for about 5 gigs now, no issues. Definitely would recommend it if you need a cost effective monitor.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC10MP 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I play acoustic guitar and sing. I was relying on my Fishman Mini as a monitor in conjunction with the Kustom PA50, but being behind me it was difficult to hear my vocals. Since adding this monitor to the mix, I can hear myself so much better now. It is a little light on the low end so I am thinking the sub-woofer is in my future to complete the set up. Overall for small venues that I play the Kustom line-up is a very affordable, affective way to be heard.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC10MP 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I got this monitor 6 months ago to use as an additional stage monitor for my guitar amp. I'm a weekend warrior type (hard rock and metal) who plays small clubs and festivals, and all too often I just couldn't hear my guitar onstage. I plug my amp's line-out directly into this monitor placed near my feet and adjust volume as needed. Problem solved! With addition of a small unpowered mixer (Alto Zephyr ZMX862, which I highly recommend), I also use this to play my iPod at high volumes, and to PA a mic and acoustic guitar for small party performances. Out of the box it sounded kinda harsh, but after a few hours of use the speakers were broken in and now it sounds just fine. The low end is tight and punchy but a tad feeble, so it's more suitable as a monitor than as a PA. DJs wanting big bass should look elsewhere. But for the price, it's an extreme value. (BTW, for you guys apparently trying to plug mics directly into this thing and getting no volume, you need a mic pre-amp of some type, such as the above-mentioned mixer.)

I currently use a few of these in an acoustic band I'm in. They won't blow you off stage and they wouldn't do well as mains, even though they have a pole socket. But as they are priced so low, no one is sharing a monitor. Everyone has there own with it's own volume control so they can determine how loud they want it. All in all a great product at a great price.

this is a very nice little monitor... small footprint, clear sound... I use it to monitor my organ and voice and it's plenty loud enough for live work... I already had the same speaker in an unpowered cabinet so I figured I'd give this a try...I also bought a powered 12" Kustom last month to replace our stage monitor and have been impressed with the workmanship and durability of their product line... it may be inexpensive, but it's not cheap ;)

Comments about Kustom PA KPC10MP 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I was really expecting more from 50 watts but the volume produced is somewhat comparable to a 20 watt combo amp. It has clear mid and highs but totally lacking the bottom. I have an old Kustom 30 watt bass amp that produces huge volume and tone across the board with the same size cab. Perhaps more useful for instruments playing in the upper register. Still a good value with the "stupid deal of the day price" for other uses. It's not for me.

I bought these to use as vocal monitors in our practice space and I couldn't be happier with them. They're plenty loud and clear and are easily heard over an enthusiastic rock drummer. I got them on sale, which made them an excellent value.

I bought this for a personal monitor for my Fender Acoustasonic DSP amp. It has a direct XLR line out, so it gets my vocals and guitar both and sounds great. I can actually have my mic to the side now and still hear exactly what's coming out of the amp! It's great for my application! I think it would do nicely for anything with a balanced output.
