OVERVIEW

This rumbler will pack the dance floor.

The Kustom KPC15 15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn is a great cab for medium and small gigs. It's specially voiced crossover ensures clear separation of frequencies for crisp, full-range reproduction. A 15" woofer delivers deep, rumbling low frequencies, while a 7" x 15" horn (with overload protector) produces bright high-end tones. It also features two parallel input jacks, sturdy construction with reinforced corners, and a heavy-duty Tolex covering.

FEATURES
  • 15" woofer for punchy bass
  • 7" x 15" horn with overload protector
  • Specially voiced internal crossover provides superb separation of frequencies

Having worked on these cabs I can say that the construction isn't too bad- they are braced internally. The only thing I don't like is that the baffle is only 5/16" thick! They hold up fairly well as long as care is taken with their use.
I have owned and have been using a pair of Kustom KPC15's for awhile now and have had some very satisfactory results but i have decided to do some modifications to them. First off, the horn has 1 3/8" by 18 t.p.i. threads so the cheap piezo driver can easily be unscrewed and a 1" titanium compression driver can easily be installed to dramatically improve midrange/high frequency performance. Also, it would be beneficial to remove the poly-fill batting from the cab and replace it with convuluted urethane foam. Simply measure the internal dimensions of the cab and cut pieces and use spray adhesive to attach them to the inside of the cab. Probably the weakest link in the design of these cabs is the crossover. Simply purchase quality 2-way crossovers such as Dayton brand, making sure to select the crossover frequency that is best suited for your selected compression driver. The original Kustom woofer has a very low excursion (the cone barely moves) and that is also a downfall but i have been able to achieve decent bass response with them. I have used QSC GX3 and GX5 amps to drive them with both recorded music and live music and they sound repectable as long as they are driven within their rated bandwidth and power. I have completed modifications on these tonight and I am going to try them out at a gig this coming weekend to see how they have improved. Overall, these are fairly good speakers IF you are not running bass guitar and kick drum through them.
Not the worst cabs in the world, but the tweeters are cheap and the woofers don't push a lot of air. Still they seem to perform surprisingly well and are very efficient (loud).

.
I was planning a annual Jam session at my home and pulled out the trusty Pa system and dusted off the cobwebs just to find that one of the woofer speaker coils was bad .I ran to the computer to look for a replacement speaker to match the bad one.I proceeded to let my fingers do the walking and to my amazement could not find a replacement speaker that I felt could do the job. I thought it possible to find two speakers that fit my budjet, so I found two KPC's that looked to be a good match. I ordered two speakers, they were promptly sent and received in plenty of time to meet my schedule. I was total impressed with the construction of the boxes and pleased with the sound and would recomend them to any one . Thanks again the saxman

Bought a pair for local smaller venues around town. Tested them at home rehearsal and sounded fine. I replaced the speaker stand ports with metal ones to fit my speaker stands 1 3/8 " size.

I got a pair of these to go with my Mustang V Head, they work together GREAT! I haven't giged them yet but for the size they aren't to bad to move around weight wise. The horns really bring out the high end and the 15" have all the bottom you need. I even play my bass in the studio thru them and they sound GREAT!

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15 15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I use these for Professional Installs for con-op Jukebox installs. There are very heavy and I only use them where I can put them on something solid. I have used them with Pole Tripods but the plastic holders break within a year of light use. I replace all of these with metal ones. Also, I done like using easy to pull out 1/4" plugged cables since the customers pull them out when they don't like listening to the Jukebox. I wish it had more options to connect the wiring. I end up having to either mount 3-party connectors or drilling a hole into the speaker to hardwire it. The do sound good (Good enough) have handle high volume Bass Music where the smaller speaker will not. I like the all Black look and the plastic edge connectors. Looks professional and I very durable in a fixed location. Not sure how well they would handle being frequently moved. I think the cheap plastic handle might give out eventually. Overall for $99@ with Free Shipping these are a Great Value. However I would not pay more. The regular sale price is too much for med quality sound and equipment. ps. most of my locations prefer the smaller 10" Kustom speaker because of the smaller weight and size which can easily be mounted on a wall pole mount with reasonable safety. They also tell me that for most venues they sound just as good as the larger speaker. But I know from experience that for High Bass apps you can't beat a Big Bass Woofer. Size does matter.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15 15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Best bang for the buck as low-mid end speakers go - can't beat 'em. You can pay twice as much for EVs or JBLs but if you're doing a wedding gig on the beach or if you're a karaoke host these put out great sound for the price range and for the price you can't get a better deal. I've worked as a "local crew" roadie for a while and I do karaoke and DJ work and I got a pair of these back in 2012 or so and I'm still using 'em. The newer ones are much more crisp and have better dispersion on the highs than the ones I'm still using. Crossovers are OK; know how to use a mixing board and these will do you well.
These AREN'T top-notch studio speakers. They sound great for the price and you won't get too angry if someone sets their drink on one - even if it's got enough kick to spill that drink very soon (grin). I've abused the hell out of these and as I said at the beginning of the review, best bang for the buck. Period.

I bought a pair of these speakers for my daughter's wedding and they worked very well.
Great sound using small/ medium power in a fair sized room. I'll be using them next week at
a gig outside , so we'll see how that goes. The only thing that concerns me is the front
grill covers ... they are not "heavy duty", and I'll have to be careful with them in transit.
So far, a good speaker for the price.

I bought the 12 inch monitors earlier this year and they have performed well so when the 15 inch was on sale I didn't hesitate. These sound very good at my live performance and at such a low price I don't shudder if they get banged up a little.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15 15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

We live in a 55+ community in Florida and formed a 60's-70"s Rock/Dance band. We needed a PA and didn't want to spend a lot of money. We bought a powered mixer, 2 of these Kustom 15's and 4 Kustom powered 12" monitors. The bass was a little lacking when we played in front of 500 people so we bought 2 more of these and a JBL powered Sub. These are 8 ohm cabinets so chaining 2 together gave us the 4 ohm/ side minimum most PA's call for. That was the ticket. Vocals came in very well with all around great sound. We received many compliments on the sound, many saying it was better than the professional shows we bring in to the community.
