Fantactic monitor cabs!!! I have owned 4 of these for about 6 years now and they sound great. They are very light for easy set-up. The clear highs and deep lows reproduce everything I have ever run throught them beautifully. I have only one complaint the mounting bases on the bottom should have a wide shouldered bolt or a washer to ditribute the load when installing or removing them from poles. The tolex covering is a bit thin and mine is just starting to peel at the corners. That being said keep in mind they have been the stage monitor set for a few hundred shows and the entire PA for a few hundred more DJ gigs and open mic nights. Kustom with a K has earned a fan and loyal customer witht their amazing performing but reasonably priced equipment.

Nice Monitors

By Rod-pINOW

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Nice monitors for the price, clean and clear sound. You can't go wrong with these especially if you are on a budget, and most musicians are. The only negative thing I have to say about the monitors is the cover needs to be a little more durable but other than that these monitors are awesome.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

We purchased a pair of these speakers for our rehearsal room. Theses speakers are being powered by a Berhinger 400w per side at 4ohm mixer. We are running them daisy chained a 4ohms. I have used various other pa speakers with this head and the sound has been very full and powerful. These Kustoms sound terrible!! There is no bottom end the top end is honky and not smooth. I use high end mikes and have to eq all the life out of them in order for the vocals to cut through. I takes a lot of power to get any sound out of these. recorded music sounds terrible through these speakers. Do not buy!!!

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I used a set of the 12" monitors and they were great for the price, except for the tweeters. I had to sell them to make room for more gear, but didn't want to sell them with 4 blown cheap piezo tweeters, so I digged out a $100 for 4 Eminence ASD10001 compression drivers. I pumped 300 watts to a pair of speakers, ran them for 6 hours straight at neutral right below clipping, and I was amazed. My ears were ringing like crazy! I regret selling those 12" monitors, but now I may buy a set of the 15" monitors for band uses and such. If Kustom wouldn't skimp out on the HF section, these speakers would be GREAT for the price. I would pick these for all mid/high/monitor applications any day. I still will, just with that minor modification.

Kustom 15" Floor Passive Monitor Speaker

By Robert Crain

from New England

See all my reviews

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

Overall, I like these speakers but prefer the sound of the 12" monitors for the vocals. The 15" is better for keyboards and guitars.
Essential features are all there for a passive type monitor: 15" speaker and horn, in/ out jacks. Design replicates many other monitor speaker designs on the market.
I knew going into this purchase that it would not compare to a JBL, EV or a Mackie speaker and it doesn't. But that's ok. The speaker is built decently and performs decently. Good quality for the money I spent and for the application I'm using it for. The sound quality seems better suited for instruments than for vocals. The vocals needed a little bit more EQ than the instruments.
So far, a good value for my church application. They don't see much rough use though.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I bought 4 of these to use as monitors and mains. I did not think about where the cable plugged in or I would not have bought these to use as mains too. They all sound fine but if you plan on putting them on stands the inputs will be on top... Live and learn. Not doing anything super professional with these or I would have spent the money and got Yamaha speakers instead. But these do sound fine for the money. I got 2 that were "scratch & dent" and two that were "returns". While I haven't done it yet I can tell I'm going to need to do some re-glueing on the cabinets of the scratch and dents. I'll probably just do them all to be on the safe side. The scratch and dents are pulling away at the corners, no big deal for the money saved.

4 stars only because they are going to require the re-glueing. But if you are looking for a cheap speaker these do a fine job plugged in to my Yamaha EMX512SC Powered Mixer

I just got my new KCP15M and I kouldn`t be happier. This kabinet kompletes my monitor rig konsisting of two Kustom 10`s`n`horns and two Kustom 15`s`n`horns through a nice little Beheringer amp and a Behringer rack 12 with the accomanying EQ. I have never been dissapointed with the gear I`ve purchaced over the years through Musicians Friend because the information provided along with the valuable reviews kombine to make each purchase one of plesant konfidence.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I use these speakers as mains. When powered by a Mackie FR1400, these speakers sound as good as it gets! My only issue is that the cabinet construction could be improved for more durability. While the cab may not be the most heavy duty enclosure, Kustom made no compromise whatsoever on the sound quality and performance. These speakers are HIGHLY underrated!

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I had 4 of them and could not keep HF drivers in 3 of them and on 1 of them the crossover went out every time we did a show something went wrong with them. I guess the good thing about them is they do have a good low end. I myself would not buy any more of them.

    By Timothy Hamilton

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

    See above
Got them 2 days after ordering them. Set them up on stands and blasted some music through them. Wow! pure harshness! Really regretted my purchase. The next day I gave them another try. This time I set the EQ to flat and played recorded music through them. Much Better... A little tweeking of the EQ and I got them sounding really good. I plugged in my acoustic guitar and mic and WOW! I sounded great! Used them as FOH speakers at a rather large and challenging venue (An outside deck enclosed with vinyl windows and a canvas roof) They did great and I finally got the amplified sound out of my acoustic guitar that I have been looking for. Get them, work with them, I think they will work for you.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

THis monitor is perhaps bigger than we need but for small venues when I perform solo, because of it's nice full range of sound, I can use it as a single main and use my older monitor as my monitor. It's multi-positioning (angled, flat , & tripod) allows that versatility. It's bigger size , along with our smaller monitor gives the entire band a good strong monitor sound, THere's not much more important than that.

      Great Monitor for the Price

      By Arkolyte

      from Troutville

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

One of the bands we played with had one of these that they had broken the inputs on, so they sold it to me cheap and once the jacks were fixed, this thing rocks hard. It has a little more for lows than for highs, but paired with a Behringer that has screaming highs that I picked up at a local shop, it sounds great. I finally decided to buy another one of these to get even better immersion on stage. We've been routing the entire band (vocals, bass, drums and guitar) through this monitor and so far, nothing has broken. I also use the entire setup to listen to music when we're not playing. This speaker has been on around 7 or 8 hours a day and is still blowing my ears out! It's a great value.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I bought these speakers for my bands practice room. They sound very good and they have held up very well. you can't go wrong. They are plenty loud and with proper EQing they sound like $300-$500 monitors. The bass is low and powerful, the mids are clear and full and the highs have a nice bite to them. Lets be honest, if your not gettng paid to play twice a week or more and if your not makeing lots of money per show, then you don't need a multi thousand dollar PA sysetem. Kustom has done a great job on these monitors, gettem before te price goes up.

Good Bang For The Buck, Better for small bands

      By Scud

      from grand prairie, TX

Comments about Kustom PA KPC15M 15" Monitor Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

I bought these a few months ago, along with a GEM-350 power amp and a yamaha 8 channel mixer. These sound decent but they aren't as loud as I had hoped. We use them only for vocal monitors. My band consists of the standard pearl drum set, a peavey 800w bass amp with a blackwidow sub, a crate half stack with celestion cab (120w RMS), and an oldschool peavey 2x12 combo amp (100w RMS). Im pushing 100w RMS through these monitors (they max out at 125 watts RMS) and when we are playing I CAN hear the vocals, but just enough to get by. If we were in a bigger environment, I think they would be a little more clear (we use them in our practice space which is a 15x20 room) but I'm not sure they would hold up as well when we get the 2 dual 15" cabs and 2500 watt amp for the mains. I have used these as mains on little acoustic sets though, and they did well. I've found myself running this little setup as a home audio system more than a PA, and it does great with that. FYI
