OVERVIEW

Great sounding and very affordable.

The KPC210MP is a 100-watt powered monitor speaker with an angled wedge design, 2 - 10" Kustom-built loudspeakers and a piezo HF driver. It is tuned to deliver rich, balanced tonality while accurately reproducing a wide variety of audio content.

The Kustom KPC210MP powered monitor speaker provides balanced XLR and TRS 1/4" (balanced/unbalanced) input jacks. These may be used to connect a wide variety of line level devices such as non-powered mixers, preamps, keyboards, drum machines, and other audio devices including music players such as iPods and CD players. A volume control adjusts the overall level of the powered speaker.

A TRS 1/4" line out jack may be used to daisy chain 2 or more KPC speakers for a wider dispersion of sound. For example, if a non-powered audio mixer has been connected to the KPC speaker's input, the line out of this first speaker may be connected to a second speaker's input. This is a daisy chain and it often requires shorter cable hook-up lengths versus connecting the second speaker directly to the audio mixer.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I bought 3 of these for the bands in my Jamspace to use. We have a Punk Band, a rock Band and a hardcore band sharing the set up. We put two in the front of the room facing the singers and one behind the Drum kit.

We all have 50w/100w tube half stacks and I run two amps at the same time when I jam with the hardcore band, my drummer hits hard and bass player uses an ampeg SVT Classic with 8x10. Once eq'd and set up properly these monitors did a really great job of cutting through the mix. Having my vocals in front of me pointed right at my face vs coming from a PA at the back of the room really made them seem louder than our previouse set up that had way more power. I love these and have been debating buying a 4th to keep as a back up in case anything ever goes wrong with one of these. Not because they are poorly made (they are very sturdy) but just because I'm the kind of guy who likes to have a back up for everything I use regularly and these will most certainly be used daily. I also tried adding a sub for the hardcore band jams and that helps give the screams a nice low end, but it wasn't nesseary with the other bands.

This monitor, when paired with our EV speakers and sub, give us a rich, full sound both on stage and in the audience. I highly recommend them, and Musician's Friend gave us a great deal.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I bought this to use teporarily until the current band I am in buys a matching Yamaha (unpowered) monitor like the other 4. (previous bass player used in-ears). I was pleasantly surprized at the sound quality of this monitor. First night used it with a 5 piece band on a small stage. Did fantastic with just the mix and no eq.
Used it on the second night with my own band and was really happy with what I could do with it running from my presonus 16.4.2 board. It rocked as a vocal monitor. I am a singing bass player, so I was adding vocals, guitar, kick and snare, with very little bass. It does an excellent job. If you need a real bass heavy mix, it might be a little light with the 10's, but I am very happy so far. I also use it as my practice amp when I am by myself learning new material, allowing me to leave the bass rig on the bus. If you want a good bang for your buck, get the job done, monitor I would recomend this.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

After playing with various monitors I got serious and chose the Kustom KPC201MP dual 10" powered monitor. Having a powered monitor was important because I wanted the volume adjustments to be easy to reach from the mike stand. As other reviews have noted, this thing is clear and loud... perfect for hearing vocals through the music behind you. I've used it for several performances now and I've quickly become very attached to it. Obviously made to stand up to damage from transporting it, the recessed area for the controls also protects them from being damaged. All in all, a well-designed and constructed monitor that is impressive in performance.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

this little 100W monitor is perfect for the venues we play..the sound is very clean..it sits at our feet without a wisper out feedback, creates a mini sound bubble that allows us to play and be heard by us even in a crowded, noisy venue...consequently there is not a need to increase instrument volume to be heard..a plus in a small venue that serves dinners, music, and a volume level under conversations...
the price is great and so far this unit has taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'....i did purchase a 10ft TRS ? cable to match the out on the front of the PA amp to the balanced input on the monitor..
this monitor has been a great addition for us, more than worth the money...

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I have been a karaoke DJ for about 13 years now. I always had a smaller (personal) powered monitor, but wanted the singers to be able to hear themselves with a better sound. This does a good job, although it is much bigger than what I was using. I do wish it had knobs to be able to adjust the highs, lows & mid range, but it's still very good.

I purchased as a stage monitor for my keyboards to replace larger and heavier amps. Great value, the amp was inexpensive, loud and crystal clear. I run a Korg CX3 and Korg X-50 through it. Beautiful sound reproduction for a low price.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I am always put offf by reviews that cast products in a bad light because the reviewers have unrealistic expectations of the product. Generally, you get what you pay for! There is always an exception the the rule, but if you take top time to know what your needs are and shop for a product that fills those needs, within your budget, you usually end up a happy camper. Need a monitor with basic featrues that is durable and works in a smaller area, give this one a try.
Off,and On In and Out and volume! It is what you would expect for a lower end priced product.
Rugged and durable! Seems well made from the outside! Plugged a Tele into it and was disappointed at the volume from it. But with a Ibanez Tube Screamer stomp box in the middle it was substantially better.I use it in my home studio to practice. It may be on the enemic side for live performance. It works fine for the purposes I purchased it for.
So far it is a great deal for the money!

                Really great monitor

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I initially connected them to an EQ but found I did not need it.
I am totally blown away by these inexpensive monitors. I play in a all acoustic bluegrass band and we have never been able to hear this well. We have tried expensive passive monitors with an amp and even in-ear monitors and have never been this satisfied with our sound. They are clear and loud. Our vocals/harmony and timing was great at our last show. When we first tried them out there was a little hum from some flourescent lights. I hooked the power cords to a Furman SS-6B power block with hum eliminator and they are totally quiet.

I am very satisfied and hope they last.

                GREAT for the Price

                By Chris Bridgeman

                from San Clemente, CA

Comments about Kustom PA KPC210MP Dual 10" Powered Monitor Speaker:

I dont know a ton about the technical stuff, but it seems like the limiter kicks in a little bit early. Rather than allowing the speaker to "thump" to get the full low frequency response, the limiter distorts the sound. For the most part, when music is playing, the woofers remain stationary. For the most part, when music is playing, the woofers remain stationary. A built in EQ would be nice so you could tweak the sound but it still sounds fine without it. It has a GREAT tone for acoustic guitar and also plays music very clearly....it does start to get distorted about 75% volume. The low end is somewhat lacking but thats what you have to exppect for the price. Another thing to mention, I was debating wether to purchase this or a single powered 15". As the 15 has a better bass and gives a kick in the low end, this is much better at handling the mids and highs. If you choose this, you choose a slightly lacking low end with crisp highs and driving mids rather than kick from the bass but overall muddy sound. This also only plays one ear. You cannot just simply plug in an ipod and play stereo music because to get the full sound it must be a mono song. On the ipod touch 3g or iphone 3gs and newer, there is a setting for mono sound so you will hear both ears. This is an overall good product with many uses. 9 out of 10 for no EQ but for the price its an unbelievably good buy. If your even considering it, buy it. you wont be sorry.
                Needs a built in EQ
Great sounding and extremely well built.
