As a 25 year Mobile and Radio Disc Jockey, I have used all kinds of equipment n the field. The best speakers I ever used were the 800watt Peavey 3020HT and the 2400watt Sonic HT3624's for the extreme gigs. Since neither company makes anything close to that kind of speaker anymore, I settled on a set of these Kustom KPE215Hs. Checking the internal bracing, I found that there is an extensive and elaborate Sound chambering system built into the cabinets, plus, I found out Kustom secretly uses Eminence Beta 15s in them. I was wondering why I was running well over 400 watts in them and they were not even breaking a sweat. So I ran a Bridged 1150watt amp to one of these, with bass and treble EQ boosting, I ended up running the amp all the way up until the amp had just started to flicker its Clip lights. I found that 600Watts is the RMS Program PER 15" Speaker, which they are ran in Parallel which bring the RMS power handling to 1200 watts!!! I know they can hold it easily for hours from experience. Kustoms underrated these monsters so much, that in reality, they are direct competition to the Yamaha 215 cabinets, which use the SAME bass transducers!! Don't be scared to drive these with double the advertised peak power! It is even on the Eminence website that they are suppliers of the speakers for the Kustom 215 cabs!

I bought 4 Kustom KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet. They sounded ok, nothing to write home about. Until we sent a little feed back though them and smoked all four horn drivers!! Total junk! Who doesn't have feedback from time to time? So I Got me 4 Selenium D220Ti-OMF-8 drivers from parts express and installed them. Wow now there all most worth what I paid for them! They sound 200% better and the Selenium's will take over 150 watts at the 3500hz x over these cabs have. The original drivers are 40 watts. Bet you didn't know that.

Church Praise Band

By Jamie-0Xcda

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

We have a church praise band and needed decent PA for budget minded people. Bought a pair of the KPC's and have had no problems with them at all. In fact we love them. Powered by an old EV Q-66 amp and I have yet to overpower them. Good crisp sound with great mids and highs, when EQed correctly. Put a pair of Kustom 18" subs underneather and my oh my what a great sound.

These sound great. They are bulky, but hello, they are 2 x 15 pa cabs right? They're not made to be carried under one arm. I could not believe how inexpensive they were, yet sound terriffic. You will not be disappointed.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

I bought a pair of these used. Honestly I was going in to the purchase with some reservations but boy I was impressed. I really do not like the fake leather covering but the sound surely outways that negative. The sound is really crisp. The subs hit hard and crisp. Pretty impressed overall. I have ran Carvin LS before and these perform just as nice.

I am using 2 sets of the KPC215H ran with a 1400i Mackie power amp in stereo and all I have to say is WOW! For the money these speakers can't be beat. They don't have the clarity of a Peavey SP4 but with the price difference I'm not going to complain. Great value. If these are all you can afford don't hesitate and buy now!

This is the first PA for my new band. We haven't gigged with them yet but they sound great in rehearsal. I also purchased the Crown XLS 1000 and the Nady GEQ 215 for use with this system. Bands come and go so I feel it was a wise investment for a start up situation. Good enough quality to do small to medium gigs with "new" equipment with a warranty. Hopefully things will work out so we can upgrade in a year or so. This gear will be gigged about 2-4 times per month so it should hold up. I'll let you know later how it all works out.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

I've been looking at reviews today and I have to give these a plug. I bought these 4 years ago just to use in a little fixed venue that I dj at. Ive pushed them hard well over 150 gigs now and they sound great. They are not as crisp as say sp5's but they really do sound good and I get pretty loud later in the night and I've never blown a horn or speaker in these. A lot of speaker for the price don't shy away because of quality they have done me great and by the looks of these reviews, they've done lots of people good

Love these speakers, Great value, small footprint, a bit heavy but I can carry one by myself. It does easily tear like the other reviewers warned. But with a little TLC, black spray paint, good EQ and 300+ watts per side, the Kustom speakers give a good bang for the buck.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

This is one time you get far more than you thought you paid for. The specs are better than advertized..more efficient (101db), more power handling (300 rms/600 program)and slightly smaller dimensions...no break on the weight, though. Still, thay are well balanced for loading, and they sound great with a little EQ...used with subs they are a truly unbelievable value. Used alone they will do plenty as well. Highly recommended..we use 300 watts/speaker and they pound.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

I bought a pair of these three years ago to complete a PA for my road band, thinking that when the speakers died I could replace them with upgrades and still use the cabs. After a year of on the road use at six nights a week, and two years of weekend gigs after the road band "retired", they are still going strong. The skin is thin but the main components have responded well to the rigors of touring. Nice weight ratio for their size. Throw some subs under them for large/outdoor gigs, or by themselves for small to medium rooms, they do a great job.

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

I own a pair of these. I use them as mains in a five piece Christian rock band. I recently got a great deal on some qsc and crown amps, and some monitors from a very well respected speaker manufacturer, one is a 15 inch with titanium driver and horn...the other is a 12 inch with the same horn and driver. The tweeters absolutely "sizzle" in these monitors, right out of the box not harsh...fantastic. I found them amazing. SO, I decided to a-b them with my kpc215 pair. These monitors sell for approximately double what I paid for my kustoms, mind you. I found the kustoms to sound different, but not worse...in fact, the high end and midrange can be eq'd to sound just like the monitors tweeters! The kustoms are clearly superior in the bass department...hands down. Frankly, I can't picture a scenario where the tweeters in those monitors would be anything but eq'd down a little...as good as they sound. Yes, they are brighter than the kustoms out of the box, but the kustoms CAN be made to sound the same with very little trouble. I was happy with the kpc215s already, but thought this sort of a-b might be useful to a future buyer. Don't expect carpet or heavy steel on these. Put heavier corners and handles on if you really need to. That's cheap enough. These sound great. Listen with critical ears and not preconcieved internet hearsay from snobby forums and you can really do well with these. Use the eq and tweak them to your personal taste. BTW, the amps are qsc rmx850 and the older crown xls402...both are a great match for these run in simple stereo, one per side. I have yet to hear any distortion out of these when the amps and gain structure is set correctly...at very high SPLS, too. I strongly recommend these to bands or solo acts on a budget...one of these would be a great coffee house pa with a small mixer/amp or a powered mixer. Two would rock the house...we use 18 inch subs, and play rooms that seat 450 with great punch. Highly recommended for the budget-minded.

        Deal Of The Decade!

        from Boyne City, Michigan

Comments about Kustom PA KPC215H 2X15 PA Cabinet Pair:

In starting a new church, going cheap is standard operating procedure. "Bang for the buck" is the rule of the day when designing a sound system. When investigating the potential deals vs what was needed I happened to find these speakers on sale. What a deal. Our church sanctuary (a new church plant) is only 35x30 and I bought the Kustom 215's looking forward to a larger, permanent home. We have a Carvin C2444U console, QSC GX3 amp, DBX 231 EQ. The DBX EQ was added about 2wks after the system was first used and we noticed a need to tailor the system to our needs. The Kustom speakers rock! If you buy these you will never look back. With a good EQ you can have all the highs and lows you want. EQing really brings a whole different level of richness to sound quality. Great deal, great speakers. My sound techs love them!
