I bought this system for band use and for a karaoke business I've started. The system is great as a smaller venue package, but additional mics added to the mixer loses power for those mics. Maybe my system is defective, but the first channel is great. The included mics are fairly good, but the 9000akg series is much better. The top part of the speaker stand broke off into the recessed speaker dock, but it doesn't effect it, just makes it more dangerous because the top of the speaker stand is now a sharp circle of metal. I thought about returning it, but I don't know if the cost of returning it for repair will outweigh the actual value of the stand. If you do get this system, I highly recommend getting the extended warranty.

I've had this PA setup for about two years, and even with minimal moving and gentle handling, it just doesn't last. Effects channel one has a 50/50 chance of working or just making popping noises however, the included effects leave something to be desired anyway. This system struggles to get very loud with creating monstrous feedback. For anyone that buys this system, keep in mind that trying multiple configurations can help the feedback problem. I use this system for practices and small bar gigs, but with the overall lack of power and sound quality; I don't recommend it. Do what I should have done, and save up a couple hundred more and purchase something worth while. Having to much power can be dealt with, but being underpowered just makes you frustrated and look like a little amateur on stage.

Kustom PA KPM8420 PA Package

By xLovely_Heartachex

from Undisclosed

I've been lead vocals for a few bands now, but because we never had a PA we didn't get very far. I I just purchased this one for myself. It works great! The picture really doesn't do it justice. The speakers are huge! and the mixer is also bigger than expected. I was afraid it wouldn't be loud enough, but I've been playing with a mic and two guitars through it and it sounds just fine. Vocals come out clear and loud. Only thing is if you plan to use a guitar on it, you will deffinitly want a pedal. NO distortion. Great delay effect though. Overall, worth the money. Great for gigs, parties, or just private use.

We've had this PA system for a while, and the speakers are decent, but the best part is the mixer. If you havent used one of these before, this is great for beginning bands who sre settling in. Only thing bad is that when the speakers get lound, it gets lots of "around sounds" like when you thump the mic stand, you can hear it through the speakers, which i dont prefer in speakers. but this is easy to use and to figure out, for anyone, so don't worry about a thing.

Nice PA Package

By wiglaf

I bought this for my midlife crisis garage band. Our intention was to use it at practice, and potentially play a few local bars. We've practiced with it for a few weeks now and are really impressed with the pa. We play old rock, old metal and punk, and run two guitars, bass and vocal mikes through it, and love the sound we get from it. Makes practice more fun. Haven't used it out yet, but I am sure it has plenty of power to play small to medium sized venues.

Great

This is a great product. You really get the bang for your buck with this one. It's plenty loud for any band, there are great effects on it, and plenty of channels. The vocals come out clean and clear and mixes really well with all the instruments. Before this my band didn't put our amps through anything, and now we put it through this p.a. and we sould a lot better. The inputs are great too, and they take mic cords and instrument cables. The speakers, while heavy, are nice, big, and sturdy. The poles for them are lightweight and durable, and the speakers won't fall off of them. Overall a great buy!

Watch the speakers

By Zepplin502

I had this unit for exactly 2 days. After that one of the speakers blew out. The other one operates fin. The mixer is good and I love the effects it gives. The speaker stands are akward but get the job done. You just really have to worry about blowing out a peaker on this unit.

Pretty good package

My band has had this for about 2 years and we use it for our practices (We have used it in a few small shows). This does a good job for low to medium volume situations, however we added a few extra speakers to get as much volume as we could. It is a great package that has held up pretty well, but might not be loud enough for some bands. My band plays pretty loud and it is sometimes difficult to make out the vocals over the other instruments. I would still recommend this to anyone needing a good value PA package.

I bought this to use for acoustic shows, and it works great for that. I have also used it to practice with my band works good there also, I have had no trouble with any piece of it.

Don't waste your money

By rock_a_billy

The speakers and mics are good but the head sucks. I've had this head for about a year and everytime you move it to a gig it starts making this cycling poping sound. Now channel 8 seems to be the only one doing it but sure enough the next time we take it to a gig it'll start up again.
