OVERVIEW

12" passive speaker at a working musician's price.

The Kustom KPX 112 passive speaker cabinet packs a lot of value into an inexpensive package. This full-range cabinet offers fantastic audio quality. A specially voiced crossover maintains clear separation of frequencies for crisp detailed sound reproduction. The cabinet's 12" woofer delivers punchy low frequencies, while the horn reproduces all the clear high-end tones. The KPX112 is equipped with two parallel input/output jacks which allow additional passive cabinets to be connected (do not connect to powered speaker cabinets). The KPX series has been designed to withstand years of active duty with sturdy metal grilles, stout handles, and a high-quality, heavy-duty finish. The cabs also offer a 1-3/8" pole mount insert.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

Nice little speaker, good for PA in small practice areas. their only 150 watts each, and with a 100 watt board to drive these two, great for a practice or rehearsal PA, or a small venue area monitor, they have clear sound for their size, mine where "open box" so I got a great deal on them as well!, you can't expect a lot when there's not a lot, just saying, but if your on a budget with a working band and need a rehearsal PA, this is your best bet. small enough to fit in tight areas, but large enough to get the job done!.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

I've been a working musician for 30 years now, I work a day job and gig regularly on the weekends so spending cash on new gear out of the household budget just is not going to happen. I had a pair of the KPC 12" for almost 10 years and recently sold them because they were just getting beat up after over 100 shows. I decided to go with the new design because I liked the look and well I liked the sound of the KPC and they held up great for 10 years, except I had to change the horn drivers a couple times but the speakers held up great. The new KPX are lower rated power wise but I dissected the 1st one I got and compared it to the KPC and the speakers are identical, just a change in crossover. Anyway I have been using a Behringer PMP 5000 to power the old KPC's down to 4 ohm with 2 KPC 15" in stereo for years and the power is more than enough with subs, so if you are considering 2 KPX 12" they will handle what you throw at them. Oh BTW My band plays rock music. If you know how to run your gear it will work good for you, if your not that smart get someone to do it for you.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

These are great little speakers used for for what they were designed for, I use then for a solo acoustic act, and the are great, just don't expect to run high wattage or cover a five pc. band with them.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

I love these speakers. What a steal for the sale price. I replaced my Phonic 10 inch speaker cabinets and what a world of difference, and the Phonic were not bad. These are outstanding speakers even for the non sale price they would be worth it. Beautiful bass and clear trebles. An equalizer helps a lot to bring out the full best sound of these speakers. I use them for small events of 150 or so persons (you could go 300 persons) and they do the job admirably. For the money, you can't go wrong on these speakers. You will not be disappointed.

Bought 2 of these to use with my keyboards and I am very pleased. They produce a full tone that is clear with no overtones. Great Speaker.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

I have been down sizing ... for small to med venues, and these speakers have been working fine. 4 piece band, mostly country music now, Im using 4 /10'' Kustom monitors, and 4 Kustom 12'' mains ... poward by a Mackie 1200 watt power head, I rate the sound about 8 out of 10 .... I have 45 yrs exp. If you want good sound for a great price ....( do not exspect the sound you get from more exspensive 15 '' Cabs ) Very Light weight, and that works for my Back at 69 yrs old ..

Comments about Kustom PA KPX112 12" Passive Speaker:

I needed a smaller, lighter system for smaller venues that I sometimes get booked onto. I did some research and ordered these to match up to a Peavey PVi 6500 powered head. These speakers are a perfect match for this system. These are light enough to be placed on speaker stands very easily and produce a great sound, raised or on the floor. Crisp highs and surprisingly heavy bass. Light enough to be carried by hand--no hand truck. For a 400 to 600 watt amp, these are the real deal.
