Comments about Kustom PA KPX115P 15" Powered Speaker:

Really powerful. They are full range. Nice thump. I do DJ AND guitar/singing. Most is volunteer. Need to be mobile. I entertain from 50 to 350 people. These do it nicely. Yes they are heavy, but I knew that from the specs and reviews. It doesn't bother me.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX115P 15" Powered Speaker:

These are great for the price. Clean, crisp, balanced sound. They are about the size of my last 12" Sub but obviously if ported well the bounce would be more pronounced. I'll get the 112pm to these as monitors and see how they can hold up. I believe two subs on the Bottom of these would do well.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX115P 15" Powered Speaker:

My background is a casual pro musician...private parties, small venues and have played from hard rock to bluegrass bands over the last 5 decades. These speakers are just great for small clubs, private parties where the listening isn't critical and dancing/socializing are more important. The very low ends and very high ends are weak. Save (and hide) your high end audio equipment from abuse (drink rings, dents, guacamole spills, etc.) during parties and use these!!! I paired these speakers with the Kustom 112S subwoofers to fill out the bottom end (percussive thumps can now be dialed in) and it works just great.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX115P 15" Powered Speaker:

I bought some Kustom speakers years ago to use with a Small Theater and they are still working about 12 years later...so I was sold on the brand. Not too long ago I ordered one of these and I have been extremely impressed. We teach music lessons and we had a music recital at our local library in a fairly large room. This speaker was our only main speaker and it filled the room phenomenally! There were probably 50 people there and everything sounded great. I would definitely recommend this speaker. Powered is the way to go....right out of the box....just plug and play. And this one is even more rugged than the ones I bought 12 years ago.

Comments about Kustom PA KPX115P 15" Powered Speaker:

I was looking for some powered PA speakers. My criteria was it had to have a 15" woofer and a horn. I came across these on Musician's Friend, and they were just the ticket.

The first attraction was the price. A little about that. The pair of speakers that I purchased were listed as "scratch & dent, level 3." The salesman on the phone when I purchased them said that the speakers may show some "wear from use." I was expecting some scuffs or tears in the tolex. Maybe a dent in the grill cloth. Nothing of the sort. Each of the speakers has a minor blemish. They're essentially new. They're in way better condition than something that you would purchase as a "demo model" at your local music store. I was pleasantly surprised. I have no hesitation in recommending items that Musician's Friends lists as "scratch & dent, level 3." My speakers arrived in great shape.

Now a little about the speakers. I think they're great. I have nothing negative to report as yet. But, I've only had them set up ten days or so. They are presently being used in a rehearsal type situation, in a basement studio. The speakers are separated by about 8-10 feet, and they are elevated about 48" off the floor. A venerable 58 is plugged into a Behringer mixer. The pre is run at about 9 O'Clock, the channel volume is run at 12-noon, and the mixer master output is set at about 9-10 O'Clock. An old Ibanez digital delay pedal is used through the mixer's effects loop for some slap back. For what it is, it works great. Using a 100-watt Roland bass amp, 5-watt guitar amps, and a live kit, a band can rehearse. In fact the speakers have much more power than the room allows. There is a lot of headroom. From my description, you can see that I am not pushing the speaker very hard.

Another practical use for the aforementioned system, and these speakers, has been to use them to broadcast a drum machine. With this set up, I can practice at volume, write new riffs, etc. A great buy!!!!!
