I didn't know what to expect with this price, but needed some subs. they sound good with music or live sound. I power them with a Carvin 900 watt and they respond well. the actual rating on the cab. is 250 watts r.m.s. cabs are built well.kick drum pretty clean.the free crossover is bonus!
For the price, you cannot beat these! I had a set of Peavey PV118's that just couldn't get loud. I traded those for a pair of JBL JRX118's and those are nice, but weren't enough. On top of those, I added these. The JBL's definitely have more kick to them and sound sharper, but these have a warm, full, and rounded tone. They are actually louder than my JBLs(when both matched with an appropriate amplifier). I strongly recommend them. My mains are the matching Kustom 2X15 cabs and those are actually louder than these, my JBLs, and my Yorkville powered sub! Go Kustom!
