The sound is great if it says working for you.
We have had this unit about 3 months working perfectly. Sound quality was great. Then we started having drop outs. Tried all suggestions, moving closer, new batteries, ect... Nothing worked. Got an RMA and sent back. They replaced the mainboards on both units and we have the same problem once again. We are contacting the company once again for resolution.

I love this mic. I am setting up a sound system for my daughter's elementary school, and we need to get the biggest bang for the buck. These mics sound excellent, have great battery life.
The only real concern I have is that they are not rackable, and I realize now we need that. I will be exchanging these for the V70, which is rackable, has even greater range, a better battery indicator, and apparently even more solid construction (important with a bunch of elementary kids around).
Battery Display on Rx Unit - great
User Lockout - excellent, but it would be nice to be able to only lock out the channel selection and not the power switch.
Only six channels - Can only use in envronment with six mics.
Sound quality out of this basic mic is superb, and the range is outstanding. We had an outdoor event at our elementary school, and I was able to roam the entire schoolyard doing announcements with NO cutout or static. We also had a talent show that lasted 4 hours, never changed the 2 AA batteries once!
There is no comparison to the analog UHS and VHS that sell for similar prices.

I strongly recommend the Line 6 XD-V30 cordless micraphone. I have been a musician for more than 30 years. I have played some of the largest arenas in the country in my younger years and I have never used a micraphone of this quality. It took a little understanding of how to set the digital frequency, but once we figured that out, it has worked brilliantly. I currently used them in our Worship Services which is near Los Angeles International Airport. We used to get a lot of interferrance from aircraft, police etc.., but now it is virtually unheard of. Our entire Praise and Worship Ministry is equipped with the XD-V30 and everyone is very happy with the results. Our church is very loud and in this environment, the mics have come through with shinning colors. I highly recommend all of Line 6 products, but especially this line of cordless mics.
