Comments about M-Audio BX8 D2 Studio Monitors:
I bought these a few weeks ago and have had no complaints. Tight bass, clear highs, and any mix you bring to these translates well to most other speakers. Can't ask for much more for monitors in this price range.
This is my first large purchase from MF...and besides the shipping mishap the first time around, I'm completely satisfied. Thanks.

Comments about M-Audio BX8 D2 Studio Monitors:
These are great for midi and audio mixing. Volume and DBs controls on the back which is good which makes the front look clean. place a sponged foam sound cushion behind them if close to wall to even out bass. I play funk, Jazz, Contemporary, R&B. They may be a little heavy but that's because they are solid. Great monitors.

Comments about M-Audio BX8 D2 Studio Monitors:
The M-Audio BX8 D2s are heavy-duty professional studio monitoring speakers with excellent bass response. They are very large and considerably heavy, so do not buy these without adequate desk space or cheap stands. Prior to breaking them in the highs were a tad harsh but that has faded to a nice unbiased neutral range that is very true to what your mix will sound like across most all mediums. I love these speakers, I even use them for watching movies, streaming music, and gaming when I'm not recording and mixing. The speakers need an audio interface to work properly - they can not plug straight into your computer's motherboard/on board sound card, so keep this in mind when purchasing. Another awesome feature is the LED lights on the front of each monitor- it is not bright enough to be annoying, but it will appear brightest when you center the monitor in the correct position in relation to the listener (more on that in the manual).
