The M-Audio Delta 66 Digital Recording System has a PCI host card with external audio breakout box. Incredible-sounding converter section with 24-bit/96kHz operation. S/PDIF I/O makes it possible to perform digital transfers in and out of the system, useful in mastering to DAT or utilizing outboard FX via digital I/O. Breakout box handles 4 balanced or unbalanced +4dB or -10dB analog inputs and outputs. Included software provides digital mixing, routing, and SCMS output. Works with PCs (Pentium II or up) and Macs (G3 or up).

I have been recording with this sound card for over 5 years and have been very happy that I choose it. It's been a solid unit and I have been able to produce recordings that have literally impressed the pro studio owners when they hear them. There are other significant factors in the recording chain to achieve pro sounding recordings but having a good reliable sound card that really captures your performance cannot be understated.

I have had a Delta 66 for several years now and it has outlived several PCs. This unit works great for the instrumental guitar recording I do. I've used it with a couple of different types of 24 bit - capable software. I'm able to input from my guitar's internal pickup and a soundhole pickup simultaneously (two tracks)getting very clear low and high tones.

I was having problems when tracking my beats from my mpc to cubase/pro tools. I would record it and it would playback with humms and low headroom using a lambda and yamaha usb mixer. I bought this card and whatever sound/level I record at, gets played back at the same level and quality. I'm proud to own this sound card. If your interested in this product, just buy it!!!

The M-Audio Delta 66 is an excellent sound card for recording and mixing music. Make sure you use quality stereo cables with this device and download the latest drivers from M-Audio's website. The software is a little tricky to use at first but you will overcome this with time. Works well with the Wharfedale DP8.2A Diamond Pro Active speakers and a WinXP Pro SP3 system.

The Delta 66 by M-Audio is an excellent piece. I have owned one for about 5+ years , which I purchased from Musician's Freind with the Omni preamp package (Omni Studio). The recordings are as clean as you can get at a studio for the price of a single session. You are, however, limited on the ins and outs. 2 of the ins and outs are for spdif digital I/O, so make sure that 4 line ins is enough. For small-scale home recording, you can't beat it.

This thing is incredible. I have this in my home studio and I can use it with a couple other toys to make a recording sound like it was done in the pro studio. If you want pro-sounding recordings without paying over a grand, get one of these with a powered mixer and a mxl 990 or 2. You won't believe what you hear.
