Don't screw around, get one!

I use "n-Track" and needed a 24/96 card. After doing the research on the cards, Revolution won, hands down. If you are upgrading, do your homework, don't be fooled by wannabe cards. The install was seamless, (make sure you have the latest directX installed first). When you read the reviews, remember, no one really knows how it will work with your system but you. I don't get excited about gear, but I will say this about this card, WOW, with a smile.

After the honeymoon - still in love with this card

I have had my Revolution almost a year, I preordered it before it was available. In fact, I built a computer around the card. Every good thing you have heard about this card is true. I use it connected to my Kenwood 6070 receiver to play MP3's, videos, and streaming audio. The sound from this card is high quality, much better than any others I have used. The cards I considered were the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, Sounblaster AudigyII Platinum, and the M-audio Revolution 7.1, I narrowed my choice to the Rev 7.1 and the Santa Cruz. The Audigy was a bit more expensive, but I did take this as a factor. I was looking for the best card I could find (around a few hundred $) I decided on the Revolution 7.1 with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz as my second choice. I would, without reservation, recommend this card for anyone looking for high quality sound. Whether it be stereo, or 5, 6, 7 channel - this card will do it.

This is the card! Buy me!

I've used this card in my G4 and now G5 works great- always! Never a problem, using it both digital 5.1 and analog stereo. Easy to switch with sound panel, drop menu- select digital or analog. I use the analog out to monitor sounds and my mix and digital 5.1 for soundtracks AC3, use Cubase and Apple A.Pack. Never tried the 5.1 card, I'm sure it's as good. Buy this card, I tried a more expensive M-Audio card and it gave me problems. If you need midi, buy a seperate USB interface instead of a all in one midi/audio card.
