I got these headphones after looking around for a while for noise-canceling phones that didn't fall apart like bose. After reading many great reviews I decided to buy these without even testing them and I was not disappointed. The clarity and depth is outstanding. I could not have hoped for better sound quality. The noise-canceling is not phenomenal but definitely takes out the basic low rumbles you're surrounded by (have yet to test on a plane). However, the low rumbles are replaced during listening to a very faint hiss - nothing much but if you're a true adiophile it might set you off. They're also very comfortable and lightweight allowing you to forget they're on sometimes. I listened to these on my mp3 players, laptop, and fostex 16track mixer and they sounded great on all. The ipod held back the sound a little but I was still able to fully enjoy rock, hip-hop, folk, classical, etc. The laptop (toshiba satellite) lets the sound loose, making me afraid to turn it past 40. On the mixer, I was really able to hear the clarity (or lack thereof) in my recordings. Overall, I'd recommend these to anybody looking for a stylish pair of amazing sounding headphones. The minor downsides like the fingerprint-attracting finish and the fact they eat up the double A's can easily be forgotten due to the great sound and generally great feel these cans have.Great Buy

I've had 2 pairs of these, extremely careful with them both times, as they are pretty damn expensive headphones. The stuff that comes out of this is awesome, don't get me wrong, but it's sooo not for studio mixing, since it colors the music too much and adds way more bass than is actually there. As for the design and build of the headphones itself, it sucks. There is a weak point on the headband that will snap in time, since the headband is honestly, well, plastic (so much for superior materials?). Yeah. I love the sound, but am extremely disappointed for headphones that break after about a year even with extreme care, that cost this much. THIS HAPPENED TWICE.

Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
I bought these at best buy, because I liked the girl recommending me them with her dd size personality. Im a sound engineer by trade and work with many of today's artists. We use ultrasone 8s(this is how we hear the sound in the studio like it was meant to be heard. However I bought these for fun and they were so bad I returned them. All plastic, bass heavy with no quality, and the noise canceling is annoying at best. Only works with batteries, big draw back. But they look nice.

Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
I was a little hesitant to spend [$] for some headphones, but when i heard the sound i figured out why they were so expensive. Great sound. I was expecting a lot more durability however. I got maybe 15 hours of use out of these before one speaker went completely out.

Great
Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
these headphones are just a hype and a fashion statement.
they put bass in thats not supposed to be there.
the highs and mids are soo terrible. if all you want is bass and you have money to blow i guess these are for you.
but if you like listening to good musicianship these are a waste of money, i highly recommend sennheiser hd 280 pros for 200 bucks less. the detail in sound blows beats out of the water.
not to mention i just throw them in my suitcase when i travel, they're built like a tank.
I also use the 280s as monitors for my portable 8track, you can't even think about doing that with beats.
noise cancellation is really terrible comparing to other headphones with noice cancellation, there are non nc headphones that block out just as much sound so you pretty much are wasting money buying batteries to use these.
padding is very soft, ear cups are small, durabilty is crap, i snapped two sets of these just putting them over my head and i only wear a 7.5" cap. I have to treat these headphones like a new born child so they dont break
This high of a price is just sad for the lack of quality in these headphones
Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
i love these headphones, i use them on an average of 12 hours a day and I've owned them for 3 years now, although flimsy I still love em, it give you nearly un-rivaled sound at a somewhat worth-it price. but ever since the plastic is so easy to break i was thinking of upgrading to Pros soon so i might suggest saving your money and buy the Beats Pro, which appears to have none of the problems the Studio has.
I've owned mine for 3 years now and the sound is amazing, the range of sound can make it worth the money. the bass however is a bit too accentuated sometimes
If you're considering these headphones and is reading my review, MAKE NOTE OF THIS PART!!! Sure its great, but do note that the plastics holding it together on the exterior measures less than 1.5mm so it is EXTREMELY easy to break. I've owned mine for 3 years now and I've been extremely paranoid on keeping it safe from damage and although I am proud to say it has never made hard contact with anything cracks show on the areas where the screws on the exterior plastics shows.

Great
Love the sound quality and bass.
A little too pricey.
Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
I love to blast music. My neighbors don't exactly like that. As far as listening is concerned these are great. I have had mine for about 6 months, never had a problem. Get some rechargeable AAA batteries though if you listen a lot. They're insanely loud and the sound is vivid. As some others have said though, not for DJs or studio use, I agree. (Also the Bose equivalent is better imo)

Comments about Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones:
Great for production in your Mac using programs like Garageband, Logic Studio and Ableton. Great for recreational listening. However, these are NOT DJ headphones! I broke a pair while juggling tunes in my turntables. I cue a lot pinching the headphones between my ear and my shoulder, and they couldn't take the punishment.

These are amazing! Great sound it kinda depends on what the source is. (i.e they sound perfect on my phone samsung mythic and my mac, but in my ipod nano they don't sound so hot.) But overall they are AWESOME!
