I bought one for outdoor use for people to use to make anouncements, it worked great, but better yet, i tryed it for Vocals, it really blowed me away, sounds like a shure sm58, and better, dont know why, i use 5 sm58s, but the sound of this is so good, i use it to sing out of most of the time, and the price, "wow" its like giving them away. I must say i have a great pa system that might help on the sound, buy one you will love it.

This mic specs state the line of site range is 150 ft. B. S.!!! It also stated that typical was 350ft. I'm calling you out musicians friend, your mixer you sent me sucks!!! The Nady mic you sent sucks, I couldn't even get 25ft. Without dropping out so I had to buy the bulky chords to keep the reciever in range of the mic anyway! After reading false reviews on all the equipment I bought for my wedding, I thought I was getting a great deal and would have been a loyal customer. Instead I got Screwed!! If the reviews would have been accurate, I might have spent a little more for better gear. I am almost certain these reviews are posted by musicians friend to persuade you to buy their gear.

This system is used for announcements in our small playhouse. I didn't buy it for vocal quality or singing - but so the MC wouldn't be tethered to a microphone stand. Works great. We parked the base station in the light booth. We can go just about anywhere in our concrete and cinderblock building and the signal is clear, audible and without any significant distortion. That's roughly 100' or so maximum distance through concrete and steel. I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't tried it with singing - but it works quite well for announcements with good vocal quality.

Good for speech and KARAOKE. But not really for professionals.
Just make sure when you place the receiver, it is away from magnetic field.

I did have issues with my first microphone... it didnt work but musician's friend sent me a new one for free. If you are looking for a cheap microphone then this one is perfect. it has great sound, and good range. Its pretty light because of the plastic its made with but i did drop it 3 times and it still works really good and there was no damage to the mic. im more than satisfied with this product, especially at the price. and if this mic ever breaks, they're so cheap buying another one is no big deal.

I bought this microphone for use for some speeches at my nephew's wedding. I was a little bit worried but a wireless mic that people could pass around seemed like the best thing and much easier to use that passing around a wired mic a the head table. The price was great and naturally I worried about the sound quality, drop-outs, etc. I have no experience with wireless mics and out band uses nothing but wired mics.Anyway, to make a long story just a little bit longer, it performed perfectly. The distance was no more than 50 feet from the receiver and it was not used for singing. I don't think I would use it for vocals but for speech it was great. The price was cheap, it was easy to set up and performed well for what it was.

I was skeptical when I heard this was plastic but thought I would try it at the price. At a company picnic, the mic worked from about 140 feet away with clarity. It cut in/out a couple of times when the announcer turned around so that he was between the mic and the antenna. The vocal reproduction was pretty flat but it reproduced the voices with a very pure sound. I had no feedback whatsoever. This is a fantastic value for a wireless. I take care of ALL my equipment so dropping it is not an option but it is a heavy plastic so just be careful.

I bought one for a church. We used it on a Saturday night practice and it performed like a pro with no issues at all. My band mates like to own one after listening to it. It is very clear and sounds great. It fell on the floor and the Mic is deformed but still worked flawlessly. Because of its price I am still awaiting to see how long it can get when it will be used for the years to come.
