OVERVIEW

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

Read the above. I believe you'll find wht you're looking for there.
I've had these mics for a year now, and I can't say anything bad about them. They aren't deserving of the accolades that pricey higher quality mics get, but, for the money, you really can't go wrong. I use them primarily for my karaoke shows, and I get hours of use before battery change, very long wireless range and consistent quality of sound. As for those who post that they feed back, I suggest you learn about EQ. Not knowing how to properly dial up sound seperates the men from the boys in this business. There's a balanced sweet spot you have to find with most wireless mics between the sensitivity/range settings on the reciever, your mic trim and your output volume. Once you find it, you're off and running! My mics are clear, loud and well sonically balanced, with nary a feedback issue. In larger venues, I do have to turn up the volume for good projection, and the light plastic bodies of these mics do give issue to thumping when handled roughly, like when someone claps during a performance while holding the mic. Not so a-typical. Happens with some dynamic mics too. But let's face it, if a customer destroys one of these babies, I can replace them for a laughably low cost, and I'm confident that the replacements will suffice as well as their predecessors. I use a higher end wireless for myself, and yes, there's a difference in the warmth and response, but I'm a professional singer, and it's my job to impress. I let really good singers use my mic on occasion, but there have been times when I had no battery for my Shure, and had to use the Nadys myself. I get no diminished crowd response as a result. Do yourself a favor, try them out. Stop using your volume slider to correct feedback issues, and learn about EQ, and you'll be very pleased with the results.
Durable, light weight and not battery burners. Good sound for many applications.
For what I use them for, there's no better deal out there.

I bought this as a backup wireless system for my church and some dj gigs that I do. I know it is very inexpensive and you usually get what you pay for but this was unusable even from the start. First of all, turning on the the wireless receiver without the mics on it creates a loud terrible buzz! Turning on a mic stops the buzz but then turning it back off brings it back! Also moving the mics create a scratchy noise. I've had experiences with cheaper wireless systems that at least worked for a few months before these things started happening but this one was bad from the start. I highly recommend spending a little more money and getting something more reliable if you are planning to use these in any sort of professional situation.

Good Price for what you get - Single 1/4 inch output

        By Steven Porter

        from Concord, CA

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

If you are thing of using this with a mixing board, be aware that there is one 1/4 output on the receiver. You will need to adjust the volume with the knobs on the front of the receiver. Website needs to be updated as the description (Dual Channel) implies 2 outputs. Adding a picture showing the receiver back would help as well. Would have paid more for 2 channels, but it is not worth the hassle of sending it back.

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

Inexpensive mics. They work well for announcements, not so great for singing. I doubt they could withstand rough treatment, but I haven't had them very long.
Nady DKW-DUO Dual channel VHF Mic- Each Mic has its own VHF channel to the reciever, which has a volume dial for each mic. From there it's a single 1/4 output- what you do with one mic you do with the other. The mics do have an on/off switch, and an led to indicate battery, no battery or low battery. The mics have a colored band which matches its volume dial- handy in a well lit environment, not in a dark room.
Reciever seems decent. Mics are pretty light, kind of feel like toys. Haven't drop tested them! I used them for making announcements, and they work fine for that.
Two functional wireless mics for this price. If you want a high quality vocal mic, look in a higher price range. If you need a wireless mic to talk into for cheap, get this. Even if one breaks you have a backup.

Amazing value - works great, sounds fine.

        By Daniel Kasnitz

        from Vermont

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

        Again, simply an amazing value.
I got a set for myself to have wireless mics I could hanbd out to the crowd at clubs and not have to worry about an expensive mic getting smashed or dropped in a beer.

They worked so well, I then installed a set at a local church to use to hand through the audienence during memorials & weddings, etc. They have fit the bill perfectly. And they were so inexpensive, that one congregant just bought them for the church. Having two means no dead air when switching speakers, you just give the second mic to whomever is waiting to talk.

I am still amazed. No, they are not built like tanks and do not sound like high-end systems. But for our purposes, they are wonderful. I have even miced isntruments with them, with great success. And they do not even race through batteries!

I am going to get another set to install at our public library for sharing sessions during special presentations. For the price, they simply ROCK!
I am giving them a 10 not becuase they are of superb quality, but becuase at the price, they far exceeded my expectations and are holding up just fine.
One of the best values I have ever encountered in audio gear. Yes, I still use a high-end rig for my voice for concerts. But for how I use these, I give them an 11 for value!

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

We use these microphones for trivia at a local pub - they work far better than expected for the price. I grew up in the age of "Mr. Microphone" so, I didn't expect much. We turn the mics on and off all the time - don't notice any problems with humming that others have reported. I suspect these would break the first time they are dropped, so I wrapped some grip tape around them. I am sure higher-priced mics are just as fragile.

Perfect for office parties and business presentations

              By Arthur Douglas

              from New jersey

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

I'm using these mics with a rack mounted Denon DN-A300M paging amplifier, a Denon DN-C615
CD player, and a small pair of carvin PA speakers. The Denon amplifier is great, because it can be setup to automatically mute the music whenever someone clicks on a microphone. Adding the Nady mics to this system was a good upgrade. I can now use two mics with an amp that had only one mic input, and I have the convenience of wireless mics, with no loss of sound quality.
Not a lot of bells and whistles, just what's needed. Easy to set up with no fuss.
If I was a profesional singer, I would invest in a top of the line system. My application is just to have a couple of speakers talk to a small audience a few times a year. This system handles the job perfectly. Everyone sounds clear and natural, and I've had no problems with feedback or drop-outs.
I'm not aware of any other product in this price range that can compare with this setup.

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

They do what they are intended for. I'm not sure how rigid they are since it is made of plastic but I pack them up securely after each use.
I bought these mics to use at my karaoke shows. They sound amazingly great! I was shocked at how clear the sound is. I had to turn up the volume on the mixer but they worked great. My regular venue is a 7200 sq. ft. club and some of my singers like to stroll around. I haven't heard them cut out yet. If you are on a budget and need some decent mics at a great price then these are for you.
The mic housings are plastic and feel extremely lightweight.
              Excellent price!

Listen folks....you plug this thing in and it works. Simple and dare I say...elegant! It's not a top tier product and it does not present itself as such. If you need a very inexpensive wireless mic system with no frills and decent sound quality...this is it.
Not a lot of features but that's the beauty of this device! PNP!!!
Quality is acceptable for this price point.
              Solid value.

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

After researching several wireless mics and asking around. I narrowed it down to these and a few others. I was skeptical because of the price. I almost bought some of the $200 - $300 wireless systems which only come with one mic. I kept coming back reading reviews, more was good than bad, so I gave them a shot. I love them. They are not the most rugged in feel but they still sound great. I use them while DJing and during performances. I plug them into my mixer with the included cord and away I go. Great mic set for the price.

Comments about Nady DKW-Duo Dual Channel VHF Handheld Microphone System:

Remember, you get what you pay for ! One mike sounds horrible, no bottom end whatsoever. The other mike sounds great, but cuts in and out constantly for no apparent reason. Been playing in bands for over 40 years on a semi professional basis. Will give these to my 2 year old grandchild to play with, can't trust their use in any kind of public event.
