The Nady DMK-7C drum microphone kit includes 4 DM70s, one DM80, and 2 CM90s.
DM70 and DM80 mics:
Cardioid pattern allows close miking without bleed-through from other drum kit pieces. Neodymium element delivers maximum output. Up to 145dB SPL handling capacity for distortion-free reproduction of even the loudest drums. Transformerless moving-coil dynamic design for enhanced bass and fast transient response. All-metal construction for maximum reliability. Special rubber shockmount mic holder minimizes floor vibration pickup. Incredibly small, low-profile design for minimum visibility and versatile close-miking placement around the drum kit. Gold-plated XLR for maximum conductivity. The DM90 kick drum mic offers extended low-frequency response. 70-16,000Hz (DM70); 30-15,000Hz (DM80)
CM90 mic:
Features high sensitivity; extended smooth, full-frequency response for ease in mixing; and very high SPL capability. Turned brass housing and gold-plated XLR contacts. Requires 48V phantom power.

All the mics produce a great, warm sound and the condenser mics are effective even for close mic'ing guitar amps and vocals. Bass mic is great for bass guitar also. Great all purpose mics, but ideal for drummers with low amounts of dough.

Nady systems have always impressed me with quality over price. I would say they are great beginner mics, but they surpass the beginner quality by far.

A friend of mine recently purchased this kit, and I took it home to the studio to try it out. I was VERY pleasantly surprised how nice everything sounded, especially once I went online and saw the price. The DM-80 sounded great on my kick drum with very little EQ'ing - one DM-70 went on the snare, with no EQ, the other three on the toms, again minor EQing, and the CM-88 sounded GREAT as overheads for the cymbals (hi hat ride, etc)

Although the price is tempting for those on tight budgets, you will get nothing but trash & noise out of the overhead condensers and a dull thud for the weak kick drum mic. But at least you get an "average" sound from the tom mics. Just don't use them on the snare, get a SM57 for that. If your goal is decent drum recording on a low budget, save your money a bit more and get the Shure package. For me, this was a waste of time and money and a regretful purchase.
