When i first got this kit I was dissapointed! very compressed sound not enough output and alot of hiss.I am sure that nady cut output to discourage hearing loss. Now for the good part I discovered a mod to solve all problems except hiss.1st-remove cover 4 screws on bottom2nd-locate trim pot (round silver pot with slot in it)turn trim pot to 3:00 position approx.DONT FORCE!!!!!3rd-locate dip switch with #s 1-8 on it push #4 switch up4th-reassemble and enjoyThe trim pot mod increases output and dip mod removes compression.this mod turns an ok unit into a monster. The only way to get rid of hiss is with an eq or when the music starts you wont notice it anymore.

This is a mediocre entry level system at best. Our band used this system for click tracks during live performance for the past year. We used the same transmitter the entire time, but we went through 2 or 3 packs each before musicians friends 1 year replacement warranty ran out. Now we're trying to deal with N.E.W who handle all of the Gold Coverage claims which seems next to impossible. The transmission cuts in and out with any kind of stage movement, the sound quality is definitely lacking, even while just using a metronome. The ear buds that come with this unit are basically dollar store garbage and you need to drop at least $50 extra for a sub-par set of headphones. We had clipping problems when we would start/stop the click track and the packs would need to be turned off and back on again before each song.Bottom line, save your money, buy a shure system, a galaxy system, or even a carvin system. And don't bother with Gold Coverage unless you only play 1 show a year or have a dependable backup plan because N.E.W is a joke.

Comments about Nady E03 In-Ear Personal Monitor System:
A complete waste of your money. I only hope I can get a full refund.
You can't adjust frequencies. It is a mono system. The ear phones are weak. The limited output makes the system useless if you have any instruments playing in the background.
I plugged the earphones into the generic ear buds and the ear phone broke off rendering the ear phones useless. It is basically made with the cheapest material on the planet. Sound quality is absolutely horrible. Did I mention it is mono requiring mono ear phone plug.
For what the system is supposed to be used for, I can't see how it even meets the minimum bar of producing enough sound to your ear to provide the audio feedback you need to sing.

These in-ear montors have excellent distance range and are easy to use. I've used these for two years in a hard rock band and now in a soul band. They are great for monitoring vocals and for hearing the guitar and keys more clearly. I'm a keyboard player and need to hear my subtle tones. We transmit a stage mix through one EO3 transmitter, predominantly vocals. So, to hear my keyboard better I take a line back from my keyboard output DI and a line in from my EO3 reciever and mix these into a mini-mixer. I then take the output from the mini-mixer to my 'ear buds' (I use Alien Ears). Guitarists and drummers typically use these in only one ear to get the vocals and hear some keys. They then use their other ear (open) to hear their stage amp. These monitors don't transmit low end well, so don't use for bass and drums. You can hear the bass and drums ok, without putting them through the in-ears. Battery life is good - they usually last two or three gigs. That's playing three one hour sets per gig. Just remember to turn the recievers off between sets. These monitors are far better than using stage monitor speakers. You hear better and reduce unwanted stage noise making for a much better in-house sound. The EO3's are mono - so you'll need an adaptor to use with stereo ear-buds or headphones.
I've never experienced any reliability issues. Battery mode of failure is recieving more static than normal - replace the batteries. In bars and clubs you will experience some static. I suspect this is regardless of make of the in-ear monitor system. Some places have more 'noisy' appliances and lighting. Try to keep the transmitter at least 10 feet from the recievers.
I'm sure you can get better monitors that these. But nowhere near this price. And the quality is adequate for most situations. Far exceeds stage monitor speakers unless you really need good bottom end.
Comments about Nady E03 In-Ear Personal Monitor System:
Bottom line is that this system is a waste of money. There is EXCESSIVE noise in the receiver. The range is TERRIBLE, and the battery won't stay "engaged" unless I wedge a guitar pick in there! I use this with ABLETON LIVE and a FireBox to personally monitor click track and vocal maps with our band so there are only 2 things goin on.. but it is still horrible. I would say you get what you pay for, but even that would be an overstatement. DO NOT purchase this unit. You will be sorry.
Comments about Nady E03 In-Ear Personal Monitor System:
We have used this system with seven receivers for 8 months now. A few points after working with this system.1. The mods that are stated elsewhere do make a nice difference2. There is static especially if there is no input coming thru the system3. Sometimes for no reason the system will have more static than it does at other times for no apparent reason.4. Try different inputs. Plugging into our monitor out created more problems than did plugging it into an AUX out.5. In every application the gain will need to be adjusted for that setting. It isn't the best system, but I believe that it is more than worth the money that we paid for it. We are in a small church of 200 people and not having the stage volume is a blessing. Get better ear buds and you can have a good system for FAR less.

I have a it for a bought a month i got the basic with one ear and it took me a week to get it to consistently work and now i have an other ear to work togeather and now i get nothing out of it. and even when it did work it still had low quality.
Comments about Nady E03 In-Ear Personal Monitor System:
this does NOT sound like it's priced, but it's worth the couple hundred dollars. I run it through my board. Keeping the signal wide open if you run it through it's own aux channel is fine, it's very loud that way. I followed the advice of one reviewer's posting to remove the compression.remove the cover on the transmitter and push the #4 pin up on the board. Ditch the headphones that come with it and get some different ones, you need a mono to stereo adapter for this, and use an EQ to cut out the hiss but adjust the band only below the 0 line or you will overdrive the input and get distortion.
Comments about Nady E03 In-Ear Personal Monitor System:
I'm from a generation where monitors for a bar band was the echo from the back wall. Eventually moved up to stage monitors, and just bought the EO3 to use in a solo show. I've been rehearsing with it and it seems fine. No problem with volume as some have stated - but I haven't used it in a band situation yet. The included headphones are terrible, but I noticed a significant improvement with just a cheap ($15) set of MP3-player buds. No problem with buzzing as some have noted. There is a hiss, but it's drowned out as soon as the music starts. My purpose for a monitor is to hear myself sing. The mix is different than the front mix anyway, and quality doesn't really matter as long as I can hear myself. This unit does that. Overall, I'm satisfied. It works as well as a powered monitor speaker, costs about the same, but is a lot easier to lug around. Have to note this - I ***AM*** impressed with Musician's Friend on the delivery. It arrived a full week earlier than I expected on a delivery to Canada.
