this unit is not compatible with all powered speaker systems...creates a loud hum when connected to EV and Mackie powered speakers....works great with passive speaker system

Nady's My Lady

Comments about Nady GEQ-215 2-Channel 15-Band Graphic Equalizer:

I give it the max rating for overall. Price, sound, longevity, features are all very good so to my mind that earns a high rating overall. While in most cases I believe you get what you pay for, the GEQ-215 has given me more than I paid for many times over. So buy one from Musician's Friend today for those less critical sound applications. I did. You won't be disappointed. Wait a minute...select 12db boost...raise volume setting...YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
Has bypass switch, boost level select, and output volume which serve my needs well used as the stereo EQ for my studio headphone amp. I like the power switch on the front, which is becoming rare these days. When power is off, the signal bypasses the EQ so there's no interuption of the signal path.
I'm certain there are better EQs out there, and I own a few, but my GEQ-215 has worked well for so long that I can't remember when I put it into service. Used it in a live band amp rack before moving it to my home studio. My guess is it's worked for about 10 years without a problem. That's great quality.
I have more expensive EQs that I use for the monitor system which requires a greater level of audio purity than the headphone amp, but I give this unit an 8 because it has worked far beyond what I thought it would. The price was very low, as with all Nady equipment, yet it just keeps on going, and going, and...
